Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters, et al:
We have stuck together since the late 1950's, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has run its course. Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right so let's just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way.
Here is a model separation agreement:
Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes.
We don't like redistributive taxes so you can keep them. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU. Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military. You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie O'Donnell (You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them).
We'll keep the capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart and Wall Street. You can have your beloved homeless, homeboys, hippies and illegal aliens. We'll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO's and rednecks. We'll keep the Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood .
You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we'll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us. You can have the peaceniks and war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we'll help provide them security.
We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values.. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism and Shirley McClain. You can also have the U.N.. but we will no longer be paying the bill.
We'll keep the SUVs, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Subaru station wagon you can find.
You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors. We'll continue to believe healthcare is a luxury and not a right. We'll keep The Battle Hymn of the Republic and the National Anthem. I'm sure you'll be happy to substitute Imagine, I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing, Kum Ba Ya or We Are the World.
We'll practice trickle down economics and you can give trickle up poverty your best shot. Since it often so offends you, we'll keep our history, our name and our flag.
Would you agree to this? If so, please pass it along to other like minded liberal and conservative patriots and if you do not agree, just hit delete. In the spirit of friendly parting, I'll bet you ANWAR which one of us will need whose help in 15 years.

Make it along county lines and not state lines. Situations like Maryland and Wash state which are perfectly normal red states other than for one or two cities or counties are the norm and not the exception.
And this time the South has:
All the manufacturing.
Most of the agriculture.
Most of the tech development centers.
Most of the shipyards.
Aircraft factories.
Major firearms makers.
Nuclear weapons.
I like the South’s odds this time out.
We cannot take back the media. We need to provide more alternatives to the MSM. FNC was a good start but it's only a news channel. We need alternatives to CBS,NBC, ABC ..etc
Whining about our ‘principles’ is why the liberals are living it up on the backs of the American People. Until someone stands up and refutes the lies of ‘blood for oil’, Bush lied, no WMD’s, the religion of peace, and more, we will be arguing with ourselves over details that the majority don’t care about.
I was in the Atlanta airport yesterday and two businessman were talking in the waiting area. One said he voted for Obama but he is very disappointed. He talked about his money, talked about the “bailouts” and he clearly regretted his vote.
I had been in Florida and I sure wouldn’t mind moving to that usually red state. I heard lots of negative comments in Florida also - actually nothing positive about him. People are angry and scared.
They did not. They know that this is the greatest place to be.
I say it's time we kick them them out of the Union. They can secede and take N.E. and California. That's it. They move there and start their own SSA.
Let them keep their ‘Battle Hymn of the Republic’. We’ll keep ‘Dixie’, the Confederate Battle Flag, and the Stars and Bars.
I think if it happens it will be pretty much like the last time, with a few additions to the South like Oklahoma, probably Arizona and Utah, and a few Mid-West states. But this time the outcome will be different.
It is inevitible that something will happen. Things cannot go on like this, something has to give.
Well, if you’re going to be that sappily dramatic, you might as well go ahead and decide who gets Puerto Rico each weekend.
That’s the basic idea. No marriage this bad would last fifteen seconds and everybody knows it.

You are fooling yourself. Would you care to add up the GDP of the red states and that of the blue states? You won't be so optimistic if you saw the results. Assuming Texas would form its own country, the rest would pretty much be like a Third World country with a few rich cities.

Here’s the basic reasons the dems/libs would never agree to such a thing until the day they had no other options... The question which would come up immediately would be their kept voting blocks and what to do with large numbers of people whose only salable skill in life was voting. They’d much rather never face that one.
Yeah, but you know, they don't stay dumb. They grow up. My oldest, more libertarian than conservative, but he's coming around, was telling me that he and his good friend, very conservative, both college students, were im-ing during the speech and found the whole thing pretty offensive. I'm really not convinced they are actually converting people into liberals. I think most people just believe what they see on tv and don't have the time or inclination to fight the culture. I also think most of the "youth" who turned out for Obama may not vote again until they turn 30 and will probably never vote Democrat again. Anecdotal, but that's what I hear from my kids. I'm hopeful the next generation will rebel against us hippies and become more conservative than my folks were.
