Lula’s sharper than Obama. The Columbia FTA is critical. Cuba opening would kill the Castro regime as well.

I never knew St. Patrick’s Day was a federal holiday.

This same stuff happened under Clinton. Remember when coffee went through the roof. Clinton fired his protocol staff - mostly military IIRC. I had a friend there. They insulted the Brazilian top brass.

Makes me wonder if Obama kicked his protocal staff out of the WH before he moved in.

Silva runs the world's fifth-most-populous nation and ninth-largest economy and has close ties with leaders across the political spectrum

I guess it's not that important to spell his name correctly. Idiots.

No, no, no...This can't be true, it doesn't fit the template! See, Bush is the idiot - he does stuff like this. In fact he did stuff like this for the last eight years. Obama, on the other hand, is intelligent and thoughtful and open-minded; he'd NEVER do anything careless or stupid. /sarc

"He's been asked to lobby Obama for free trade on behalf of conservatives in Colombia and for dropping the U.S. embargo against communist Cuba. Even Hugo Chavez has asked Silva to carry an olive branch to the new administration."<>P>Maybe they offended him on purpose, rather than just have to tell him, "GTF out of here!"

Never thought I’d live to see an administration more incompetent than that of President UselesS Grant.

(Fine, fine General; just a horrible President. Obama doesn’t even a fine, fine ANYTHING to his his credit.)

Obama, during his campaign, often said that Americans need to learn other languages. He emphasized that. Yet, now, the White House staff can't even get the correct spelling of the Brazilian President. Duh...you can find it on Google, you birdbrains!

This is an unacceptable error, as is Obama's whole policy on protocol and handling dignataries. Guess they never learned much of that in the hood!

This is not just a bumble.

The O-Marxist team is playing up Cuba and is purposely playing down Cuba's enemies.

Zero wants to re-make the world. He really does.

The most brilliant, all-knowing, smart, intelligent, bright geniuses in the world, ten steps higher in evolution than the rest of humankind, have made another mistake and put a visiting head of state in an awkward position? (Not to mention the American people.)

How could that be possible?

IMHO

Still, the White House made several moves interpreted as snubs by the Brazilian media.

Silva aides said the trip was pushed forward from Tuesday because of the St. Patrick's Day holiday -- making Latin America once again look like an afterthought.

Yep. That St. Paddy's Day "holiday" is sure important. He's throwing over the Brazilian leader for a pint of green beer.

Well, I think it's time we look at the good news.

Obama has collected over $150,000 in back taxes in his first 50 days.

Of course, that was just from within his administration....
