Police say suspect behind two separate shootings involving officers
OAKLAND, Calif. - Four officers were in critical condition and a suspect dead on Saturday after gunfire at a traffic stop led to a massive manhunt that ended in a shootout, police said.
Two officers were shot in the first incident just after 1 p.m. after they stopped the suspect's vehicle in east Oakland, said Oakland police spokesman Jeff Thomason.
The suspect fled the scene on foot into a nearby neighborhood, police said, leading to an intense manhunt by dozens of Oakland police, California Highway Patrol officers and Alameda County sheriff deputies.
Streets were roped off and an entire area of east Oakland shut to traffic.

This person, and others like him/her are the reason we have 4 cops killed, gangs ruling areas of every city, an idiot in the White House and appeasement to terrorists.Check out this post - if this does not sum up why are country is down the toilet, nothing else will.
There is animosity (before this shooting) towards the Oakland PD because a Transit Cop shot an unarmed 22 year old man at a train station (BART, I would imagine).
There were people "taunting police officers" at the scene of the traffic stop where one police officer was killed when the police set up a crime scene area...

I signed out and tried to access it again, and it asked me for my age. So at least YouTube isn’t quite so creepy as we thought. It’s tragic, however, that there could be any doubt!

Exactly - people like this who can not form a rational line by line, logical thought have garnered enough power in this country to destroy it, bit by bit.
Obama needs to spend a few billions on a new federal agency - Department of Unicorns, Nymphs, Cyclops and Elf’s.
There is always animosity, there are always excuses for cheering the deaths of cops in every city across the country. It is so much easier to believe some cabal of people have the sole purpose of setting up and killing “pick your downtroddin group”.
Personal responsibility isn’t dead, it was never alive in the first place.
Prayers for all the police officers and their families, and colleagues who are mourning them... [I haven’t read through any of the details yet, so I don’t know anything more about this to really comment on any other part of it...]
All I know is that the anti-gun zealots will use this as another excuse to pass more gun laws even though I’m presuming all the “necessary laws” they say will work were already in place in this area, and didn’t work or else this wouldn’t have happened...
This is a case where we have a convicted felon with a warrant out for his arrest possessing an illegal firearm.
Of course the easy answer to this is to disarm non-convict citizens from owning firearms, surely that would have prevented the deaths of these 4 officers.
I’m still not sure what level of reality that illogic stance makes sense....

Without me having to read the rest of this thread, did you two ever get a clue and apologize to Diehard and Arizona Carolyn? Because they’ve been right all along on this, while you guys have been arrogantly wrong.
I have no doubts you have knowledge about this that you can't share. And no doubts, that knowledge you have adds even more burdens to the sorrow you are already carrying. All police officers throughout CA are in my prayers, always have been, will continue to be.
