I am quite certain that this is not the protocol, and is most unbecoming a President of the United States.

Here’s link to one of the vids on YouTube. The reporter is speaking in Spanish, but it’s a side view of the bow. The Saudi sees him, smiles, and holds out his left hand. Obama quickly goes over, and bows — there is some debate on whether there was a kiss of the Saudi’s ring, but the clear view is obstructed. As others have pointed out, it does appear at one point that the King’s hand has been turned palm-down, at the same time Obama’s mouth is right about at that height during the bow...

As for the kiss - definitely up to speculation. As for the bow — no misinterpretation can possibly be made after viewing the video.

I know from posts that Rush mentioned it. However, I think the only ones who will be reporting this that can be considered “MSM” will be the Middle Eastern bureaus, maybe Pravda... Even the most liberal reporters here in the U.S. know exactly what happened here. They CAN’T explain it away and so instead they will ignore it... As you said, not if I can help it!
