Tea Party Total Head Count Thread (Post Your Attendance Numbers Here)
Wednesday, April 15, 2009 | Kristinn

Posted on 04/15/2009 3:08:47 PM PDT by kristinn

I'm hoping to be able to ascertain an overall national figure of attendance at the tea parties today by asking Freepers to post their crowd estimates on this thread.

I'm also asking that the thread be kept to just the numbers, no photos, etc., but if you want to link back to photos in your crowd estimate that's fine.

Please give the location and number of participants.

I'll go first:

Melbourne, FL - 1000.

Re: your tally. I think the Coeur d’Alene, Idaho figure of 2000 might be a bit high. Yesterday’s local paper (Cd’A Press) said 1000. Today, the paper reported that “security professionals working the party estimated the crowd at 1300 - 1500 and people kept arriving during the entire two hour program”, however I doubt if we reached 2000. Possible but not probable.

Don’t worry, if it makes it on this thread, it gets on the list. El Paso is now on the list if you refresh it.

48 states. We’re getting close to being able to document that EVERY state protested liberal D.C. tax and spend.

Boerne, Texas, 1,000

Local twice weekly newspaper places the number at about 1,000. The city population is about 8,000.

There were people coming and going for well over four hours. The name of the city is pronounced "bernie". It lies about 30 miles Northwest of downtown San Antonio, Texas. Elevation about 1,000 feet.

Thanks for that link. I know of 3 that are not listed.

Yreka, California, at least 200

Medford, Oregon approx 500 (They actually had one at 9:00 am. and another at 6:00 pm)

Grants Pass, Oregon (not sure- probably as much as Medford, they’re more conservative.)

Thanks everyone, we are now up to 48 states plus D.C., 478 cities, and can document no less than 600,000, and as many as 674,000 patriots took part in the greatest grass roots act of political expression since 1773! We still need info from North Dakota and Vermont.

You can check to see if your tea party is listed HERE if not, post a comment on this thread citing the city, state and headcount.
