If Mitt Romney is in, I'm out!
Declaration of Independence | April 30, 2009 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/30/2009 11:50:51 AM PDT by Jim Robinson

Yeah, I know. Said some similar things about Bush in 2000. But at least he was pro-life, pro-family, etc, and thank God we supported him over the idiot All Green Gore.

Said similar things about McCain in 2008. But when asked the question "when does human life begin?," and he unabashedly stated, "At conception, of course," I had to take notice. Then when he announced Sarah Palin as his running mate, I decided to support her. I voted for Sarah (and the white haired old geezer that came along with the package).

But Romney is a NO go. And I don't care who this socialist, abortionist, homosexualist, constitution trampling bastard picks for running mate. If Romney's in I'm out!

G.O.P., R.I.P!

I agree wholeheartedly with ansel12 in his assessment of what you do on Free Republic, and I agree with him because I found the proof in your posting history.

Now that I know your mission here is to name call and shamelessly promote Mitt Romney, I’ll steer away from you in the future.

How about you get a clue instead and quit calling everyone a liar because they don’t agree with you.

You have been pushing Romney for years and doing it in the same distasteful manner that you are doing it on this thread, lashing out personally against people that don’t agree with you.

"While Romney is fighting the gay community because he is a Mormon."

How can you say Romney is fighting gays when he is writing love letters to them? He is the only candidate who can actually say he has single handedly done more for gay marriage than anyone else running. Mormonism may have a fight with the gays but Romney doesn't. He's busy waiting for the day he can put them in the military while even 0bama has a problem doing that.

NYC Republican, Jim Robinson NAILED IT when he described you as expressing "feigned respect." You know, we know it -- you just don't know that we know it. Ansell's tagline expresses zero "hate," as you claim, and it is absurd to interpret it as expressing hate.

I think you are a full-on Romney bot who pretends to be open minded. In short, I think you are devious and misrepresent yourself. You certainly misrepresented Ansell's tagline -- how on earth you construe that as having anything to do with hate is beyond me -- and it is equally beyond you, too, and you know it, but you are desperate enough to be throwing anything at the wall to see if it sticks.

If Romney thinks that handguns for home defense, let alone hunting guns, are "instruments of destruction with the sole purpose of hunting down and killing people," then he is a fool who wants to deprive YOU and ME and all the people you and I love of their 2nd amendment right to protect themselves. People don't have handguns to hunt down and kill people -- they have them to protect themselves from criminals who have the intent to hunt down and kill innocent people.

Romney is bad news, top to bottumus; it's very plain to any conservative with brains that function properly. It's pretty plain to me, as well, that you are a Romney supporter pretending to be "open minded." Again, Jim hit it on the nose: "Feigned respect."

Better be careful, the moderates on FR always say we conservatives had better shut up and vote for whomever the GOP canidate is no matter what,or we will be responsible for the GOP loosing. And if you don’t like that, just leave FR.

Oh wait, you own the site :)

I saw a FNC report tonite that said Eric Cantor, Newt, and others want to expand the GOP appeal “beyond the conservative base.”

Eff them. They are gearing up to sell us out AGAIN!!

Short memories abound in the world of politics. I am guessing you don't remember how badly he treated families of MIA's in Vietnam?

He basically told them the truth: "There are no POWs still held in Vietnam and, if there were any POWs still in Vietnam, they want to be there!" (Ted Sampley--who, incidentally also claimed that GHW Bush bailed on his Avenger crew in WWII leaving them to perish while he was saved, was mostly behind the effort to discredit McCain and that belief, thereby putting these families through more pain in fostering an illusion that their lovedones could still be alive.

You, Jim and others nailed it.

NYC Rep you have been outed, once again, as one of the biggest shills for Mitt on FR and have been for a long time.

I do love how you almost feign innocence within the same breath as you openly shill for the man. At least that part has been entertaining...

The GOP is already dead as a doornail. They’re the 21st century equivalent of the Whigs. But unlike the Whigs, they don’t have the decency and honesty to acknowledge their irrelevance and simply go away.

And so conservatives are stuck with a decaying 3000 lb elephant in the living room.

I call it a lie when someone deliberately changes someone’s comments, then blasts that person for making those comments... Even in light of producing a full transcript .. What do you call it? And yes, you’re one of those nasty folks on those other Romney threads... So what’s your point?

Romney CPAC Video

Romney makes his crack at the 1:07 point in the video. He's clearly taking a cheap shot at Palin.

Personally, I simply adore Sarah Palin. I may actually contribute to her campaign and volunteer for her in the next Round.

As for Romney, he was IMO a far better choice than McCain last year.

Romney ain't perfect, but at least he says the right things now. He got elected in the leftist State of all and once he was out of office, the vultures were back.

My wallet is screaming for life under the new Patrick regime.

I think that you have just admitted, in so many words, that you are out for REVENGE, not out to make any positive difference in our government.

You shouldn't think. Those are words coming from your fertile imagination out of frustration to push a losing strategy for supporting an increasingly socialist party.

There is a huge difference between the Democrats and the Republicans.

You're absolutely correct aside from the socialist bailouts, amnesty for illegal aliens, global warming, opposition to drilling in ANWR, Roe V Wade etc...

If Conservative ideas can not win, in the Republican Party, they will never, ever win any general election contest.

Are you serious???? The reason you are battling to restore conservative values is due to the OP has been rejecting conservative values for years!!! You have reached a new height in denial.

Republican Primary voters, so you are setting yourself up for failure -—

Whatever strategy you have tried in the OP has been failing for years.

So your motive is revenge and NOT progress!

No wonder the OP has consistently lost in elections with this type illogical thinking among its members.

It was definitely a dig and a reminder that she didn’t attend.

NYC can keep up his personal attacks but it can’t change what happened.

Yep, I distinctly remember hearing that conservatives have "have had their foot on the GOP's neck for too long".

What about the G.O.P. primary? Let’s say it comes down to Palin vs. Romney, which would get your vote?

I can't tell if you're interested, or looking for a "gotcha" moment. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

I always vote for the most viable conservative in the race... If Duncan Hunter was the last person standing against Romney, I'd vote for Romney, cause Duncan would have no shot, even though his views are far closer to mine...

If '12 comes around and Palin is still dealing with family issues, isn't doing well in interviews, and is absolutely tanking in hypothetical matches with Hussein, and Romney is competitive, I'd vote Romney... If Palin is close, and competitive, she gets my vote, no contest...

Does that answer your Q?
