Somebody on the Dem side wants Nancy gone if this is showing up in the NYT. Who has something to gain by her departure?

This appears to be from May 8th. Is there anything new here that counters what Pelosi was saying this morning?

This isn’t a new story. According to the link, it was published May 8, nearly a week ago.

She’s sinking fast. She called the CIA liars. They were the last bastion hiding the truth for her. They’ll have no interest in protecting her any longer. Bye Nancy, you dope.

I’m so glad Obama decided to open this can of worms.

While the new chart shows 40 Congressional interrogation briefings, the details raise questions about the effectiveness of oversight. The legal memorandums released last month showed that Abu Zubaydah had been waterboarded 83 times in August 2002, so any objection from Ms. Pelosi at the first Congressional briefing, on Sept. 4, would have come too late to prevent the use of a method considered by many legal scholars and human rights advocates to be torture. It's an interesting spin on "she had been told that it was already being used." Of course she couldn't have prevented it from being used on that particular individual. That's entirely irrelevant. She was told it had been. And it's beginnning to look like quite a few people were. They're starting to cast this as "failure of oversight," but it was no such thing, it's second-guessing a perfectly effective oversight. That's a little less morally high-sounding and so you won't hear it until there's no other choice.
LOL. Now that is a responsive governmental agency...
