(Washington, D.C., May 20, 2009) — Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has just finished his visit to Washington. Full analysis on my weblog, including a link to the YouTube clip of me on Glenn Beck’s show with a former CIA analyst who says he wouldn’t care if Israel ceased to exist.

That said, there’s more troubling news this morning. I’m horrified by credible reports that in his June 4th speech in Cairo, President Obama will say it is time to divide Jerusalem and make the holy city the capital of a Palestinian state.

No, Mr. President, it is not

Jerusalem is and should be the eternal, undivided capital of the Jewish people and the Jewish state. Dividing Jerusalem will not make peace. Rather, it would send a message to every Radical Islamic jihadist around the world that Israel is weak, that the Jews won’t even defend the sovereignty of their own capital, that there is “blood in the water,” and that it is time to strike Israel and wipe her off the map. Dividing Jerusalem would trigger an apocalyptic war in the Middle East the likes of which the region has never seen.

I am committed to doing everything I possibly can to educate people — and particularly U.S. and Canadian evangelical Christians — to the threats facing Israel and the West due to Radical Islam, and to the biblical responsibility we have to show unconditional love and unwavering support to Israel and the Jewish people. We’ll use radio, TV, the internet, emails and other media to get the word out. But we can’t do it alone. We want and need your help.

One idea: let’s build an alliance of one million true friends of Israel — people who love Israel, are committed to blessing her in real and practical ways, are absolutely opposed to dividing Jerusalem, and will pray faithfully for the peace of Jerusalem and the protection of all the people of the epicenter.

I am Jewish, I didn’t vote for him of course. the comments made by many of his Administration picks for his campaign before he became President, were enough to make me wonder why Liberal Jews entrusted him for the vote. I guess that group-think is hard to overcome, and that idiocy is a part of human nature for some people.

It is interesting, you know. Somebody like Obama proclaims, probably each day, that violence is not the answer, revenge is not a solution, I guess unless you are a Palestinian terrorist. He is willing to do something so precedent breaking as dividing a city to two different nationalities so that people like Yassir Arafat’s ideological kin can have a capital in the heart of Israel. All Obama has to do is frame this “proposal” in the context of “return to pre-1967 borders.”

The Arabs love this kind of text as they know that pre-1967 borders can't be defended. Israel can not allow this to happen as it would be national suicide. U.N. Resolution 242 on this point is clear and much debate took place to exclude the word “all” when discussing Israel's borders after the 1967 war. It simply states that ‘land’ be given up, not all land and that borders were to be defensible. Since 242 Arabs have tried hard to place new wording in agreements that at least infers that all pre-1967 land be given up. They never seem to touch the defensible borders issue though. We can not allow Arabs control of Jerusalem.

Just look at what happened to that city during the period 1948 to 1967 when Arabs controlled it. for 19 years it was a divided city, jews and christians didn't have access to holy sites, barbed wire was everywhere and jewish cemeteries were destroyed, tomb stones used as flooring on Jordanian monuments and foot plazas in Jordan's largest city.

Jerusalem was almost abandoned as an Islamic center for religion and no Arab head of state even bothered to visit or pray at the Al Aqsa mosque or Dome on the Rock which were falling apart from disrepair during that period. Allowing Arabs to control Jerusalem would mean war for sure. Only a really outrageously naive world leader would even suggest such a thing unless promoting an anti-Israeli agenda. I can not believe even Obama would be so careless. On the other hand, many of his advisors definitely have an agenda and they do not favor Israel.

My advice to Bibi if Obama insists on such a thing is a threat to break diplomatic relations with the U.S. and refuse American government representatives entry into the country. Also deny press entry and threaten to really become a bad guy in the area since bad guys seem to be favored in the middle east, flirting with China or Russia for backing. It's a trade off. Commit suicide or lose U.S. financial aid and backing at the U.N., a no brainer in my view.

Obama, if he continues to with his threats, needs to be put down to his size. It's outrageous that he actually expects to solve this issue with a wave of his hand and a flex of his muscles. How arrogant. How unacceptable.
