Thank you for contacting me to share your concerns over President Obama's citizenship. I appreciate hearing from you.
Article II, Section 1, Clause 5 of the United States Constitution states, "No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States." President Obama demonstrated his citizenship during his campaign by circulating copies of his birth certificate, which showed he was born in Hawaii on August 4, 1961.
On December 8, 2008, the Supreme Court declined to hear a case filed by a New Jersey attorney, Mr. Donofrio, regarding President Obama's citizenship. Unlike many of the lawsuits regarding President Obama's citizenship, which claim he was really born on foreign soil, Mr. Donofrio's case concedes that President Obama was born in Hawaii but contends he still held foreign citizenship at birth. Mr. Donofrio's lawsuit argues that since President Obama's father was a Kenyan citizen and therefore subject to the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom at the time of President Obama's birth, then Obama was a British citizen at birth and not eligible to be President of the United States.
Another attorney, Mr. Berg, has filed a lawsuit regarding President Obama's citizenship and is waiting to hear whether the Supreme Court will take up the case or not. A federal judge in Eastern Pennsylvania threw out Mr. Berg's lawsuit in October, saying he lacked legal standing to bring the challenge since he could not show he faced individual harm even if he could prove his claims about President Obama's citizenship. The judge did not get to the merits of the case. Mr. Berg is appealing the standing issue to the Supreme Court.
If a person is born in the United States, a certificate of live birth issued where one is born is sufficient proof of U.S. citizenship. The certificate, confirmed by the Hawaii Department of Health as authentic, shows that President Obama was born in Hawaii.

Our good Georgia Senator simply put is not the warrior you are looking for. Have you called on Senator Byrd's office?
Are you sure that wasn’t written by my senator, Lindsey Graham? Sounds just like him.
You should write back to him and ask him to show you specifically where the Hawaii Department of Health said that or ,for that matter, ever officially commented on the online COLB itself. (I am sure he will point to the half-assed statement Okobo made - ignoring the second part of her statement where she said the Director couldn't tell for sure what was represented on the online posting )
Then per the United States Constitution the Scatterbrain was/is eligible to be POTUS.
Saxby Chambliss - my senator from Georgia. Had to have a woman, SARAH PALIN, fly in to help him win the run-off last year. I was at one of the rallies. It was as if Saxby was invisible. Everyone wanted to see Sarah. He probably hates
her for it but was so desperate to remain a senator that he
suffered the necessary evil of consorting with real conservatives in order to maintain his senate seat. What a guy!
I have noticed that the responses from our gutless representatives are roughly the same. So you know they have discussed this with eachother.
They know....
Josa: Thankfully Martin lost. It was all about THAT. Somehow & someway; SOMEBODY has to light an intense fire under Saxby’s tender butt. Our fair Republican’s act as Marie Antoinettes or Emperor Neros as our Republic blindly passes hell’s gates.
sounded like the one i received from martinez here in florida....they must all have the same letter writter...
He’s my senator too. I’ve been incredibly disappointed in him.
House member Tom Price is about the best rep we have in Congress.
If a real conservative would run against Chambliss in SIX YEARS, he/she could win in this state.
But we need to focus on getting a republican in the governor’s seat after Perdue for this reason: If one of our senator’s dies in office, we need a republican governor in power in order to appoint a republican to replace them.
That’s really all you’ll ever get on the subject. The vast majority of the public and politcians think this is looney-bin territory and I very much agree. It has been settled to everyone’s satisfaction except the wackos, who will never, ever accept any birth certificate, even if it was passed around to every person individually, hand to hand. Enough credible people have seen it and verified it to satisfy 99.99% of the people in the world. I know someone will ask me for proof that it has been verified but y’all know it has been. Get real.
I would love for Tom Price to run for senate!
Not necessarily.........and this is where Obama's problems really lay, IMO. There is the matter of his Indonesian citizenship.
you are quite wrong, and your gratuitous use of vast generalizations exposes your bias as well as your agenda. and critical thinkers do not enjoy being called wackos.
Was this the fake one that was posted on his site?
great non-answer...
I got even less from Sen Cornyn here n Texas
Initially, I too thought that this was a stretch, but as time has passed, 0bama has spent a fortune ($800,000+) hiding his birth certificate, I have come to believe ther may be something there.
"Methinks he doth protest too much." The question is NOT settled and is not just the comain of the "looney-bin" as you call them, when more and more people want an answer and he continues to hide it.
