Joan Walsh at Salon has an interesting blog post lambasting Liz Cheney’s appearance on the Larry King Show tonight. She throws a fit over Cheney “defending” Birthers on Larry King’s show and acts like this is the biggest political suicide ever. For those who are not aware of what a “birther” is, this is the Conservative equivalent to the “truthers” on the left who claim they just want the truth about 9/11, but really just want to subtly blame George Bush for blowing up the Trade Center. Birther’s believe that Obama is not qualified to be President of the United States because he was actually born in Kenya or Indonesia or in Hawaii before it was a state, or any variety of conspiracies that invalidate the Obama’s eligibility to be President. They claim that since Obama never has provided a Certificate of Live Birth issued by the State of Hawaii, that this proves he is hiding his true birth place. Personally I don’t think that, but I do think there is something on the COB that he wants to hide, like he is Muslim or something.

OK then Joan, what is your theory on why this “Pres_ent” fights any attempt to produce an authenticated birth certificate?
Joan Walsh is a nut. Back in June, she was accusing Bill O’Reilly of killing partial birth abortionist, Dr George Tiller.
What complete bullcrap. All "birthers" want is for bambi to show his long form birth certificate. That is it. The people who are truly "nutty" are those that think it is "nutty" for bambi to have to show that he meets the constitutional requirments to be president. Those are the real nutballs, loony toones, and whackjobs.

HEY Joan, all Zero has to do is pull out the long original birth certificate from Hawaii, and all will be well. Sounds simple enough.
Cheney? Hmm...Dick Cheney would be the Repub smart enough to have looked for some proof a while ago or at least I hope so.
I just watched the replay. Liz Cheney did not ‘defend’ birthers. She said it was proof that people were uncomfortable with a president that doesn’t seem interested in defending America. She hit a home run and google eye about had a cow...lol. The look in Liz’s eye was steely though....like she knows something. Obama and his media goons are trying to Alinsky this whole thing. They are getting scared folks.
When that portion of the interview gets on line I want to see it!
Liz ate Carville’s lunch! In fact, Carville was laughing...not his usual angry look. Liz wouldn’t let James talk...she talked over him, interrupted him and I loved it because she acted like the Dems who won’t let Repubs talk.
I love how Liz Cheney playfully kept the storyline going. Personally I don’t believe this story b/c there doesn’t seem to be any proof that Ann Dunham went to Africa. But if they can pin “I can see Russia from my house” on SP, we can put this on 0bama.
I think it is stupid to call us birthers. I think people who think that are unamerican.
Just saw it. Liz is really good. Im not a big fan of the whole birther thing. It just doesnt get me all rowled up like other things. This health bill is giving me pains at night. I think this sudden interest in the birthers by the MSM is a ploy somehow. Palin? Lets talk about how crazy the Republicans are not how Obama is ruining our country... Im telling you the more I think about it the more I think it is a distraction. Reporters are now asking about the birth certificate and not talking Heath Care. Be Careful
Let’s play where Barack was actually born in Hawaii. What if he’s hiding his long form because his father isn’t his dad but someone else or unknown. Would that be embarrassing enough for him to hide it? Don’t think so. Is religion listed on a BC from Hawaii? Some States do, but others don’t.
Either way he’s hiding something and we want to see it.
James Carville was throwing out barbs all over the place..but not one ounce of proof. They have no proof..but the one thing the media will not do is tell people what the argument is really about. Not one MSM outlet has allowed both sides of the story to be told on air. Everyone of them start the story with the dem lies regarding Obama’s BC and then never allow the other side to debunk it.

Yet tho contacted by countless individuals, 99% of the media, conservative radio & TV, and the Pravda media absolutely refused to address the Birth Certificate issue... :(
