Behind the scenes, Obama pushing to take Medicare pymt authority out of the hands of politicians

Behind the scenes, Obama is pushing for a mechanism that would take Medicare payment authority out of the hands of politicians and invest it in a separate entity, possibly under the executive branch.

[As bad as it is for Congressmen to dole out Medicare payments to gain votes in their home districts, it would be an even worse idea to give Obama control over the Medicare purse strings.

Obama's agenda is to raise the executive branch to such a level that it completely usurps the legislative branch. He intends for the executive branch to control each and every aspect of American life.

I, along with millions of other Americans, am very frustrated with many of our Congressmen; but at least we as voters have more day-to-day access to them than we do to a President who lives in a far-away White House.

Were are "WE THE PEOPLE" who need to rise up against this!!! The White House SHOULD NOT be allowed control!!!

If there is medicare waste that according to Obama that would pay for his health care plan by savings from that waste then why are they not addressing the waste RIGHT NOW. Why give him control of it? Is there a connection between his asking for this and questions surrounding a Chicago Hospital that is being investigated for a program they have that gave (and still gives )them major grant money? I do not know, but it is coincidental.

“take Medicare payment authority out of the hands of politicians and invest it in a separate entity, possibly under the executive branch.”

Then registered Republicans and conservatives could kiss Medicare goodby. There was a time when I would have considered such vicious partisanship to be unthinkable, but I believe the change I’ve seen in this White House, and it’s terrifying.

Why in the hell would any self-serving politician give away power like that to a President whose poll numbers are falling into the $hitt@r?
This guy doesn’t have a clue how unpopular he is, does he?

Oh I think he DOES know the truth in the polling and this is why he is pushing hard now for all of his radical agenda desires. He sees it’s getting harder and harder to get his radical socialist agenda through and Americans are starting to wake up to reality!! Even though the taxing hasn’t even started folks!

Hmmm... my BS meter just pegged....

Behind the scenes, Obama is pushing for a mechanism that would take Medicare payment authority out of the hands of politicians REPRESENTATIVES (where it shouldn't be in the first place) and invest it in a separate entity HIMSELF, possibly under the executive branch.

He doesn't care. It is all about him, and he is all about his agenda.

Certainly unconstitutional, eh? However, don't expect "such an insignificant concern" to be dealt with fully by SCOTUS any quicker than has Campaign Finance Reform's unconstitutional elements. In the meantime, effective nationalization of the health insurance industry will rape shareholders across the name landscape of wreckage and joblessness. (No matter, it's just another way of sticking it to "millionaires" and manifest under-the-table reparations.

Oh, sure, Barry will need some experienced job-seekers among newly-minted ACORN executives wielding their racist, partisan whips. Such jobseekers can expect to represent, under penalty of perjury, fines and jail time should that they have no guns and have never been and promise never to become part of any group that could be labeled "conservative." For their nomenklatura sakes, they will understand what it means to vote and make political "donations" (kickbacks) properly.

Congress is supposed to control all the purse strings for government, but since Barry wishes to wield the partisan cudgel of the IRS and spend trillions per year through the health care "entitlement", he could indeed sew up dictator status, making everyone in government and the media toe his line as if his name were Daley in Chicago.

There is a major disconnect growing between average folks and the Kenyan. While the country is mired in recession and record unemployment, he’s playing inside-the-beltway hardball politics trying to socialize medicine.

Waterloo.

Like the US Census power, Obama probably wants to consolidate vested authority for Medicare in the White House so he can make “non-political” decisions about life, death, and insurance payments.

I have a solution: Shut it all down. Nowhere in the Constitution is power or authority in this area granted to either the legislative or the executive branches.

I think this is about that medpac group that advises congress on medicare. Zero is suggesting they be given more authority over medicare instead of leaving it all on congress. Medpac was actually created by some smart republicans in the 90s to make sure doctors decide things instead of politicians but I suppose the dems watered that down. It is a good idea but do you really trust obama to do it right?

I depended on medicare a lot after my stroke so I pay attention to these things a lot. I have mixed feeling about medicare. I would be dead without it but I know it is really socialism the way our government runs it. I think it is a big reason why so many younger people like my daughter are ok with a government health care takeover.

The other day someone here posted that they are an insurance agent and have a really good health plan. If you read this please post what company you use. I am trying to find a plan for my daughter that will help her with her liver problems. Maybe then she will stop drinking the obamabot coolaid.

______________
has everyone figured this out yet? Robert Byrd sent him a letter months ago telling his the he was abusing the power of the executive office and eliminating our checks and balances system. I’m sure obongo sent the letter straight to the shredder while laughing. This is a silent coup. Stop it now or live under the thumb of obongo and his thugs for the rest of your life, or leave. That’s the 3 choices.
