Elderberry tincture or syrup, trumps tamiflu. I just had the flu, so I used Elderberry syrup. I don't know if it was just the regular flu or H1N1. I didn't feel great, but, it wasn't near as bad as I thought it would be from past experiences with the flu. Seriously bad sore throat for the first day, sneezing, coughing, congestion, achy, temp of 101. I was sick for 4 days, still have a bit of a cough. The flu normally lasts 7 days or more. Tamiflu cuts the symptoms and the duration to 5 days. Elderberry cuts the symptoms and duration for me was 4, but, some people say it works in 3. Works like zinc for a cold.

If you are allergic to honey suckle don't take elderberry.

I know enough about the writer to say pretty confidently that he’s not from ACORN.

Towards the end of the school year our superintendent asked all the teachers to have specific lesson plans ready for a two week period in case there would be an outbreak of the flu.

We were to have them ready to be placed on the school web site so the kids could continue their lessons at home if we had to close down the school.

Scratchy throat, congestion, sneezing, cough, achy, temp above 99 or so, usually more like 100 or more, but, everybody’s different. Some but not all, sick stomach, vomit and have the back door trots.

To be perfectly honest, I wonder what the author would like the government to do? Shall we close down schools the moment one kid comes down with the flu?

What would be the impact of such a move, given the number of parents who would need to stay home from work with their well child? How does this compare to the impact of waiting until children get sick?

Sure, they could notify parents that X number of students are ill and allow them the decision of taking their child out. I wouldn't have any problem with that. But, parents could talk to each other, ask their kids how many kids are missing from homeroom and get the same result. We don't have to rely upon the government to tell us these things.

I got a swine flu shot in 1976 when I was in the U.S.A.F. I had no choice, but to take it.

I fixed that on the AIPNEWS version, and will pass your edit along to him. He publishes in a number of places and I’m sure he’ll appreciate it. :-)

The problem with the flu is they can’t predict which ones will mutate and become really bad and which one’s won’t. Sometimes they can’t even predict which flu is going to be the problem.

http://www.thelondonpaper.com/thelondonpaper/news/london/swine-flu-mass-graves-planned-for-london

The problem may be that experts expect a “second wave” of flu during the coming normal flu season

This second wave would reinfect people who had it the first time- as I recall, this was the deadliest phase of the 1918 pandemic- not the first wave of the flu, but the second time around. Young people with strong immune systems were vulnerable to cytokine storm and very quick death

Well, then I’m going to be more wathcful at my kids school. It’s difficult for us here not to find out if someone is sick as all the moms talk to each other and I get emails and facebook info who’s kid was out sick and why. Crazy, but communication can be a good thing.

I don’t trust Obama and if I hear there is H1N1 in my school district anywhere I probably will take my kids out of school.

respiratory failure is the deadly flukey complication- trouble breathing, blue lips. Got to get on a respirator very quickly to avoid death, even then there is high mortality. This is the scary part if you have teens and kids.

I suggest you read the article from the link and articles from embedded links within the original article. The details show the mutation is coming from the labs who manufacture the vaccine. I Also suggest you view the video at this link: CBS 60 Min - 1976 Swine Flu Vaccination Fraud- Aired Nov 1979

It’s fine for regular flu but could increase the cytokine storm. Too much negative research for me to take it.

Also negative

Honey
Chocolate
echinacea

Here is my “Swine Flu” story. I was in the Navy when the last swine flu vaccine was invented. I took the time to read about the development of the vaccine and was concerned about the lack of testing. I refused to permit myself to be injected with the swine flu vaccine - it was done in the pay line and you had to get the shot to get paid. I refused and bypassed the shot. They didn’t want to pay me until I called my Congressman and was paid anyway.

They chose to court martial me. Two days before the courts martial the vaccine program was canceled due to people getting paralysis (forget the name of the syndrome).

Now I read that some states have passed billed where refusal will get you fined to the tune of $1000/day and 30 days in jail! I guess I better start saving now!

On a brighter note I calculated my odds of getting the virus is such that if I took my $10 doctor co-pay and bought lottery tickets I have better odds of getting rich than getting sick!

Here is a link I found on a previous Freeper thread on H1N1 that recommends Vit D.

We have been taking the 2000 IU a day as a family.

Stay well Freepers!

In short, if you breathe air with someone exposed to the virus but not yet showing symptoms, you are almost certain to contract the virus.

wonder who in obama's administration owns stock in companies that make these. The even call it a "swine flu mask."
