We just got a NEW Super. And the local Teachers Union Pres. A big fat thuggish looking old broad...said they would wait to see how he does. BUT, he had BETTER learn how to play politics. For REAL
TOTALLY! Her butt needs to be sitting in a jail cell.
There was a case similar to this in the Everett School District in WA state. District decided to put a camera in the classroom without telling her or the union. Caught red handed.
Know what happened? Initially, she was suspended. Union jumped in and stirred up membership about hidden cameras being used for this sort of thing. Teacher reinstated, in the classroom.
Superintendent? Fired. Assistant Sup? Fired.
It failed because nobody wanted to be miss Idaho.
No teacher left behind.
This woman is clearly delusional and unfit to hold a teaching certificate in Houston or anywhere on the planet. Unfortunately, she'll not likely be fired and if she is, she'll sue and rant about how her 'rights' were violated, never noticing how she violated the rights of little children to receive the expensive education their parents paid for with their tax dollars.
If anyone needed convincing that our public schools have devolved into near-useless indoctrination centers for third rate 'teachers' to collect cushy pay and tell our children lies, this story is it. Worse yet, this fool of a 'teacher' will probably be right back in the classroom as soon as the furor dies down. Such is the corruption of the UU.S. public school system, today.
She is the local Houston VP of the ATPE if that tells you anyting. That’s according to her bio. Not sure of date but found it on google.
I would submit that it is NOT impossible, only unpleasant.
The NEA and their lawyers have succeeded in building the appearance of invincibility, so we don't even try.
Maybe if parents as a group were more persistent and tireless in eliminating the worst offenders, it might have a wider positive effect.

In my time, most students who flunked out of engineering changed their cirriculum and went into education or psychology.

I was raised the same way also—S.Ky...It was the respectful way to address our elders. When did all that Change??? (Oh Lord, how I hate that word “change”!—Sorry.)
