I thought I had replied to this yesterday. Either I forgot to hit "Post" or some mod decided to remove the comment for no reason at all.

Back in 1993 Rush-bo played a similar role as Beck but there was not FNC then just Rush. He was it. Clinton was smarter than Obama. He praised Rush publically in response.

You’ve hit on something. I have noticed that Obama and his administration makes Bill Clinton and that administration look classy in comparison. I never would have believed that possible.

Another minor difference from 1993, Rush was pushing the Republicans and the Contract with America. Today, the Republicans don’t have a visible plan of attack, and Beck is pushing “Throw them all out and find someone, anyone who will honor the constitution and stand for real principles.”

That position has some merit. We need more Democrats like George Custer needed more Indians. But as for Republicans, I think we need Republicans (ones that follow the current party leaders) like fish need bicycles. What we need are principled Conservatives. There are a few (very few) in the Republican party, virtually none in the Democrat party. Finding real Conservatives and getting them elected in 2010, when the “Throw all the bums out” emotions are at a peak. I know many say a third party isn’t the answer, but if it is worth trying, 2010 is the year to make it happen.

If the Republican party is to be salvaged, there must be a change of leadership and a return to real, core values and principles in the next couple of months, along with a real vision and plan that people can vote for. We had 8 years of “We aren’t Democrats (but we have to act like them to buy votes)” Republicans, and now we are stuck with “We aren’t George W. Bush” Marxist, Neofascist Democrats. Maybe the Change we really need is a large dose of Principled “none of the above.”

I am with you. I would rather have republicans pick up enough seats to cause gridlock in 2010, but not actually take control of either house.

Republicans are not near ready to lead, and it’s nice have dems get the blame for a change, finally.

The idea of a republican president again terrifies me.

It’s going to be hard for the WH to fight the truth with their lies.

You make some good points. I’ve always felt Beck was a bit “loose” in both his logic and conclusions.

That said, I fully support him as the ONLY person on TV taht is widely researching and disemminating the truth about this administrations leap toward socialism, and the forces that are enabling that leap.

The only caveat I would add to your points is that Beck has himself said, “They are overwhelming the system.” With all the irons he has in the fire with this administration, I don’t see how anything less than a small army could check all the facts inherent with all these stories. I’m not excusing him, but I am saying understand what a massive effort it has to be to keep up with all of the various threads unraveling at once.

Two months ago I had never heard of Valerie Jarrett, and not she is enemy #1 in the Obama administration, and looks to be the key figure making things happen. But there are so many different threads with ACORN, SEIU, APOLLO, and all the various czars.

Beck is moving at lightning pace, along with Breihtbart and a few others. I don’t see people like Rush or Hannity doing heavy lifting in this. They do their part to help drive home the points others are discovering. You would think that a person like Rush, with his personal war-chest, instead of buying football teams, could assemble a team of real researchers to help Breightbart and Beck uncover the truth behind Obama’s czars and the feeder organizations that are driving us rapidly toward socialism.

You would think. With all Beck has on his plate, I can cut him some slack.
