Steve Moore says on "Greta On the Record" that its more than 9.8% and is actually 17% when those who have given up looking for work are included and then black male unemployment rate is approaching 50%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“black male unemployment rate is approaching 50%”
I don’t think it’s *quite* that bad...

Only a media declared recovery could have 9.8% unemployment. If there were a Republican in the White House this would be the worst economy since the Great Depression.

When will these idiots understand that there is no recovery?
To: Steelfish
Employers will probably start THINKING about hiring when the health care debate breaths it’s final breath and dies.
If it passes, and is not overturned within a year, this country is done for... and Obama knows it.

Despite what recovery?
:::::::
Looks like AP got a prod from the White House again. That is what I said -— “WHAT RECOVERY?” Unemployment up to almost ten percent now, bankruptcies at all-time high, etc, etc.
And Obama working on spending MORE MONEY AND TAXING MORE. And we thought America would never experience hard Marxism. Ha!!!

“Despite what recovery?”
Exactly. Low unemployment and consistent economic growth under Bush was described by the democrats and their propagandists in the MSM as the ‘worst economy on recent record’, while near 10% unemployment, and a recession is called a ‘recovery’ under Obama. I never thought the US MSM would sink this low.

When will these idiots understand that there is no recovery? Well, there was a gabazillion dollar "stimulus" spending package and a Dem is in the White House, so of course we're in recovery. Geesh.

There’s usually more layoffs right around Christmas every year. Wonder what this year holds for Americans? It’s very disheartening.

Real unemployment (U6) is near DEPRESSION rates at 17% (and that’s almost certainly understated!). If I had to guess, I would say that real U6 is around 20% and some sectors and localities are well over 25-30% or more. Those are Great Depression numbers, no matter how you spin them.

Companies are not going to get caught with extra employees if/when there is a double dip recession. My company is going through annuL budgeting and many department are requesting additional headcount. We are telling them “not this year”. Wait until 2011...
