Free Republic does not and will not support RINOS!! Not now!! Not ever!!
My day after Thanksgiving message | 11/26/200 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 11/26/2009 9:55:25 PM PST by Jim Robinson

Apparently there are still some posters on FR who are fast asleep. Wake up! Dammit! We are in the middle of a conservative rebellion! While you were sleeping we, along with millions of other freedom loving grassroots Americans have participated in hundreds of tea parties all across this great land and fully intend to keep it up until all of America is awake. We are fed up and mad as hell! We grassroots Americans are delivering a message to the ruling class: NO MORE!!

No more big government! No more high taxes! No more government bailouts! No more government takeovers! No government healthcare! No more corruption! No more global baloneyism!!

We're sick and tired of liberals and RINOs running roughshod over our God given Liberty!

We want our country back! We want our freedom back! We want it all back!!

No more socialism!!

Cut the taxes! Cut the spending! Cut the government!

Restore the constitutional limits on government! Restore our freedom!!

And not only no, but HELL NO to liberals and RINOS!!

Free Republic will not support RINOS!! Rudy McRomney, et al, can go straight to hell!!

The strategy is we win, they lose.

Any questions?

Similar to the tea party movement, FreeRepublic is about individual rights, liberty and common sense. What part of that do you think is too out-there on the rightwing?

I think CFR is a non Isuzu. I don't care about it.

When explained correctly I think most people would be for free speech and against government control of speech.

I think many teapartiers are not pro life. I don't care about the issue one way or the other.

When explained correctly I think most people would be against the federal judiciary deciding about abortion and for the states respectively, or the people deciding about abortion.

Most teapartiers want good public schools that they can send their kids too. Some conservatives want public schools destroyed.

When explained correctly, I believe most people would want control of the schools at the local level without federal government involvement.

Seems like it's about individual rights, liberty and common sense at both the tea parties and FreeRepublic.

I pray that Rudy retires from public office. We don’t need another backstabbing RINO in the senate.

If you think the teaparty movement is about right wing conservatism, you are very much mistaken.
Just so you know.

Sarah Palin will be the main attraction at what's being billed as the "First National Tea Party Convention."

Tea Party Nation announced Wednesday that last year's Republican vice presidential candidate will serve as keynote speaker for the conference, scheduled to take place in Nashville, Tennessee February 4-6. A representative for Palin has confirmed the former Alaska governor's speaking role at the gathering.

Um, I'm with you, Jim, but I can't get excited - you've used up all the exclamation marks.

Seriously, we've got to keep pushing this thing until we sweep all the RINOs and socialists out of office. Not sure how far this momentum will take us, but we've got to ride it until it drops.

Sound a little pi**sed there, Jim. Welcome to the club.

So what's the plan now? More protests while the DC elite ignores such and passes their socialist/marxist bills? Or hope that 2010 will bring in a new era of conservative Republicanism? Good luck with that. Republicans are part of the problem. They won't change as witnessed by Newt's support for the RINO in the NY23 congressional election just weeks back.

So if we can't bring the Pubbies back into the CONSERVATIVE fold, then what to do?

Here's an idea:

STATE NULLIFICATION

YOU have the power through your site to build a movement to re-establish States' Rights! YOU have the attention of thousands. You and I and many others know what the 9th and 10th Amendments mean, and what the intent was about. Many States are already fighting for their own sovereignty via gun laws and other.

Care to try a new tactic? If so, I will be your biggest supporter. Just think about my suggestion. You could make a huge difference. Put our differences aside, you have an opening here like never before to make a real difference.

Best

“How do we define RINO?”

Is a RINO not just a whore? If a politician has a record and they have been in bed with the enemy in the past... You would be a damn fool to trust that they have had a change of heart.

For instance; If Mitt, in the past, had supported abortion and gay marriage and socialized medicine - and now he’s against it, he’s a RINO and a whore. And if you believe him now you are a damn fool.

If Huckleberry was all for raising taxes as governor, but now sings a different tune... He’s a whore and a RINO.

The “Core Values” for a person don’t change... If you think they do, you are a fool.

HOWEVER... If a candidate that has demonstrated conservative values in the past, in a liberal district, reaches out to liberals in order to get elected... we need to consider that so long as they have a conservative record.

He is the best you can get from a state like New York and who has a chance of winning. Anyone right of Giuliani will have tough time winning a state like New York. Giuliani will not vote for socialized medicine for example.

No more "reach across the aisle" RINOs....

The only time anyone should be "reaching across the aisle" is to slap a LIEberal upside the head.

They are not right wing nuts.

Unlike most other cr*pholes in the world, America can determine it's fate at the voting booth. Getting there with half your brain in tack is the challenge. Socialist/statist messages dance like fairies throughout our culture unchallenged like a virus bent on destroying it's host .

Imagine America, had we not broken our compact with our Founders.

Yeah, there's heat builing-up out there, it's called a fever and that's how Nature rids the body of it's toxic 'guests'.

Thanks to all who've participated in the Tea Parties as they certainly have provided the 'wake-up' call so desperately needed. Those that 'brung us to the dance' would be very proud of you all- that you'd even ask them 'to dance'.

What lies ahead is a task so daunting that mere democracies might refuse to engage. A housecleaning so thorough the county dump will have to be put on notice. But, we Americans are 'the government' and when it becomes destructive to our ends, we change it.

That's the beauty of our system. America is about to 'change' but not the way the current occupant of the White House and his RINO enablers think. America is about to put the smack back in smackdown.

It’s not so much as a ideological litmus test as it is not accepting any of the deal breaking issues.

Leading into the last election, there were a lot of people here who were so concerned about She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named that they lost their minds with worry. So much so that they supported McCain and Rudy because they believed the MSM storied that these were the only ones who could beat her. Well, you see how that worked out for us.

Now we’re being told that the best we have are Huck and Mitt. Huck has his own brand of President Bush’s “compassionate conservatism” that won’t work any better than the first version. And don’t forget that Mitt supported state run health care in Massachusetts that isn’t significantly different from the bills we’re opposing in the US Congress today.

We’ve got to be careful about who we support. Rinos get us nowhere. But the conservative message of self reliance and less government works EVERY time it’s tried.

I think you omitted one of the most important issues which, if restored, would go a long way in reaching virtually all of your stated objectives. The issue is a return to true federalism.

I view our Constitution as an agreement or compact of three parties - the federal government, the people and the states. Until the states recapture their place at the table we will have great difficulty in reining in the federal government.

Further I would hope that Freepers would weigh their posts and replies against your stated goals and values.

No I did not come out of the blue, that was a general statement that you made about the 2008 primary and it’s candidates and I made a pertinent response that matched your post. Huckabee, McCain, and Romney the three candidates of the primary that you were talking about.

I noticed who you pinged and it seems that you are trying to draw another thread over to here which is against freerepublic policy.
