Free Republic does not and will not support RINOS!! Not now!! Not ever!!
My day after Thanksgiving message | 11/26/200 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 11/26/2009 9:55:25 PM PST by Jim Robinson

Apparently there are still some posters on FR who are fast asleep. Wake up! Dammit! We are in the middle of a conservative rebellion! While you were sleeping we, along with millions of other freedom loving grassroots Americans have participated in hundreds of tea parties all across this great land and fully intend to keep it up until all of America is awake. We are fed up and mad as hell! We grassroots Americans are delivering a message to the ruling class: NO MORE!!

No more big government! No more high taxes! No more government bailouts! No more government takeovers! No government healthcare! No more corruption! No more global baloneyism!!

We're sick and tired of liberals and RINOs running roughshod over our God given Liberty!

We want our country back! We want our freedom back! We want it all back!!

No more socialism!!

Cut the taxes! Cut the spending! Cut the government!

Restore the constitutional limits on government! Restore our freedom!!

And not only no, but HELL NO to liberals and RINOS!!

Free Republic will not support RINOS!! Rudy McRomney, et al, can go straight to hell!!

The strategy is we win, they lose.

Any questions?

Hey, I'm all for those! So what about gay marriage? Or legalization of drugs? You OK with both of those, since they are not mentioned in the US Constitution and thus should be left to the States, or the People (and we have States trying to legalize both)?

In other words, you're still talking generalities, what are the specifics that you would look for in a candidate's positions? Is taxation always bad? Should churches and social programs be exempt from taxation?

And if you'd like to know my general philosophical statement, you can read it here.

Defeat RINOs in the primaries.

Vote for the most conservative candidate in the general.

Juan McLame is our target in Arizona. JD Hayworth is our best hope to defeat McLame in the primary. Wish us well!

It still makes me sick when I see the RINO Huckabee outpolling Sarah Palin.

I believe those polls about as much as I believe in the theory of man-made global warming.

It would be helpful if Simcox would get out of the way.

No, what I think is that idiots who vote strictly for the party label, principles be damned, are who gave us Obambi, by trying to force McLame down our throats. Had we had a clear choice, freedom vs. socialism, Obambi would PROBABLY not have won. However, full-blown socialism usually triumphs over socialism-lite every time, and this was no exception. So our hats are off to you and yours for giving us McLame, and, thus, Obambi.

The other day someone on a similar thread said "If the race comes down to Rudy Guiliani over Hussein 0bama I'm voting for Rudy." The other FReeper said "No way. I would never vote for Rudy."

Clearly that is nuts. You don't want to throw away your vote by *not* voting, but if you refuse to vote for the RINO then you vote for the marxist.

It's not nuts - the only difference between a Marxist/Socialist and a RINO like Giuliani is time - with the socialist, you start getting your socialism within a year or two, and they are up front about it being socialism. With a RINO you get your socialism a few years down the road disguised as something like "compassionate conservatism".

It still boils down to this: If you vote for a liberal with an (R) next to their name, it's still a liberal, and you are sending a message to the GOP that you support their move to the left.

If you only support and vote for Conservative candidates, even third party candidates, the GOP will eventually get the message that you are tired of supporting the liberals and moderates they keep throwing at us like Bush and McCain.

If you vote for liberals with (R) next to their names, you're nothing but an enabler and you can't call yourself a Conservative since you are selling out.

It doesn't matter if you uphold Conservative beliefs and values the other 364 days out of the year, if you go into the voting booth and support RINOS, you're not a Conservative.

I agree. Look, the state has major problems. It’s political climate is screwed beyond belief. If new management were brought into the GOP here in the state, I believe the whole state would be far better off in ten years.

You can’t have a complete absence of good political values being presented in the state, and expect anything other than what we have taking place now.

Thanks for the comments.

If you’re hitching your wagon to Palin, you’re going to be disappointed. Nominating her is the quickest way to assure Obama’s re-election. I do NOT get the fascination many have with her. While I agree RINOs are a big problem, Palin is not the solution to that problem.

Do you think that you have advanced conservatism on this thread? Do you think that you have swung any opinions your way? Do you think anyone here respects your opinion more now than yesterday because of your posts on this thread?

Are you just disrupting for the sake of it or do you have an agenda that you think should supersede the stated goals of this site, its owner and the vast majority of members?

Seems to me a RINO’s any person wearing a Pubbie label who wants to grow government by any amount, for any reason and/or whose rhetoric does not match his/her deeds in attempting to shrink government to its Constitutional limits.

And because a lot of conservatives took the same approach, we ended up with President Obama who IS burning the nation to the ground.

We didn't end up with Obama because Conservatives finally started taking a stand, we ended up with Obama because the Republicans had 6 years in which to shrink the size, cost, and scope of the government, and to show the American public that they are responsible caretakers of the government. Instead they expanded the government, made it more expensive and more powerful. They went against Conservative beliefs and the American public reacted appropriately.

To add insult to injury, the GOP gave us John McAmnesty as their candidate.

Had the Republicans in the White House and Congress during those six years acted responsibly, and had we ended up with somebody other than McAmnesty, I have no doubt that the GOP wouldn't have lost Congress in 2006 and the White House in 2008.

Unfortunately, Jim, dumping RINOs means dumping the GOP. I did. After 30+ years of being active in the Republican Party I registered as an Independent. That wasn't an easy decision. But after watching my collegues and feloow party faithfuls defend RINOs like Bush and McCain I had to leave.

BTW..I hope you're feeling well these days. FR isn't the same when you're not posting.

I read it. You don’t sound much different from me.

Hard Core Conservative. No middle ground. No Moderate or Liberal ground. No quids, pros, or quos. Unyielding, unwavering. As ye sow, so shall ye reap. Beginning and End of story.

No abortion.
Pro death penalty.
No gay marriage.
No federal government run education.
No taxation without representation, which comes from having a full time elite political class.
I will not make a blanket statement about drugs. Some of the legal drugs they have foisted on us are just as addictive, just as lethal, just as dangerous, if not moreso.
And some of the drugs declared illegal, while I wouldn’t use them myself, are far less dangerous.

No “extra” rights for anyone in so-called protected classes, since all of our rights are already guaranteed including the rights of the unborn.
No thought crime legislation.
And as long a fed gov rules trump states’ rights, it really doesn’t matter what states say or do. Cases in point, the “stimulus,” and the Commerce laws.

Judging by this over-the-top, caustic reply to a simple question, I’d say you’re the paranoid one. A simple answer to the question would be a logical response. Yours, very illogical to the point of suspicion.
