It’s not true. I love the Catholics but I hate the institution that holds them in error and superstition.
The “choosing” myth is really quite curious. I was taught it in school when were told about how Kiev became Orthodox Christian. It Omitted the fact that Olga (ruler before that..) was a Christian.. huge part of the culture of that are in general is from Constantinople.
There is another interesting story about it too. In one version Kiev population gets converted by druzhina (core of the Kiev military) driving the population into Dniepr and then getting them all baptized en mass

Yeah, G-d and the Jews have become so disassociated over the years that attacks on G-d and religion are never seen as anti-Semitic even when such attacks are on the Biblical Israelites. Instead this is interpreted as an attack on "chr*stianity" and chr*stians are expected to respond.
"Anti-Semitism" apparently consists of two elements: 1)attacks on the Jewish nose, and 2)attacks on bankers.

"Salvation," as chr*stians understand it, is not part of Judaism. Get an Orthodox Siddur and see how many prayers you can find asking to go to heaven at death.
It's because Jews and chr*stians constantly project elements of their own religion onto the other that there is so much misunderstanding between those two religions.
