Is Google Ignoring ClimateGate? A study of contrasts. You be the judge
Bing: 49 million.
See also this Nov 29 thread http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2396398/posts — on which I documented my experience earlier tonight confirming what others have noted.
As late as this afternoon, entering even as much as “climategat-” did not produce the suggestion “climategate” (!!!), even though I’d entered that search numerous times by then ... and even though usually any search I enter previously would cause that term to show up in my suggestions.
It was only this evening that entering “climat-——” caused “climategate” to appear.
Interestingly, I even test posted a very long phrase starting with Climategate. Every time after that, that phrase was included in my suggestions — even though “climategate” (at that time, earlier today) did NOT show up.
It is a blatant attempt at censorship.
And YES, it is important in the scheme of all we are facing in our brave new world of socialized medicine and Obama money.
I just did a google search on “climategate” and got more results regarding the global warming liars than I care to read through.
I don’t see any hiding it by google based my findings.
Kinda worthless since ClimateGate is referred to as a single word. Plus, by the time you type CLIM - it has climate change right there for you at #1.
Not the Grandest of conspiracies, but irritating nonetheless.
I need to correct: NO, climategate still does not appear for me. Earlier this evening, for the first time, it ... did (now I’m not sure, though had someone looking over my shoulder who said it did, too). This is so weird.
Other phrases with climategate as the first word in the string DO show up in my autosuggest list, for example, “climategate google”, “climategate bing” ... and other odd words I’ve thrown in.
But NOT the word “climategate” alone ... even though (of course) I’ve entered that word numerous times and it should certainly be showing up from my history.
What???
LOL
I typed in “climate” and Google auto suggested something about being violated by a pterodactyl.
