>Should we start guessing?<

Look, this part is easy.
What we need to do is focus on something that the left is as angry about as we are.
One thing that comes to mind quick is the fact that they have realized that they will be forced into a medical plan.

Push that hard, give it legs, make noise about being forced to do something that you may not want to do.

Even liberals hate that and with that they will become more and more outraged at their own party. They will begin looking into other things as well. Trying to hammer their own party in line.

You have to start it by making them mad over a common issue. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

We were the ones who realized that medicare would be cut for older people. The liberals figured it would be grandfathered in. It is not. It gets cut. That upset the elderly who were on Obama’s side for this because they couldn’t get health care long term service because of the cost. Now they are angry because they can actually get less!

the young were on his side because they wanted to be able to go without insurance until they needed it, then get covered for “pre-existing” illnesses. Get coverage when they needed it but not before. Some are realizing now that is not going to work. They MUST get insurance before they get sick. REQUIRED.
That is pissing them off.

Push these issues. The media will do the rest, even the liberal media. They will dig into other things that are infringing on the rights of people and forcing them to do against their will.

Yes, they’ll get rid of all conservative blogs and forums, but they won’t get rid of email. And as long as the email communications don’t contain any key words they would pick up on, we’d be ok using it. We’d just have to use the sign/countersign code talk. It might actually be fun.... drive them crazy trying to figure out what we’re actually saying.

>I’m trying to keep a positive attitude about all this, but after seeing someone like Obama get elected, it’s really hard. <

Your post was excellent and I think your right about so much of it. But one thing is a misnomer.

Obama may have been elected. But there are a few things that need to be sited about his election that you can take heart in.

First of all, over 3 million ACORN ballots were found to be fraudulent. Dead people, double registrations, fictitious people whatever. (it doesn’t change the fact after, but they know now)
Second, a lot of times in an election, people are not voted in, but rather people are voted out. Obama knew this and ran against BUSH. It was clear he was trying to bash bush the whole time and make McCain out to be another bush.
So he won basically against a man who was VERY unpopular, even though he was not running against him.
In this sense, he was not voted in, but rather it was a signal that they wanted something other than bush.
Third, McCain was not strong and outspoken. he did not back up Palin and he looked like he was not much better than Obama himself.
There was no real clear choice there.
Fourth and perhaps most important was that Obama promised the world and has delivered squat. he lied and most of his base realizes that now.
He has gotten the dubious honor of having the worst popularity after his first term than any other president in history. People realize that they were duped. They don’t like it. he lied to them and most people hate that even from a politician.

The ones who are still die hards are about the most ignorant and idealist people ever. they refuse to look at facts and don’t want to admit that they could have been lied to. They consider themselves too smart.
They can not hold out forever, as the popularity dwindles for obama, and the fanfare dies down, they will switch sides as fast as we change our socks.

Obama is in for a downfall, people will want substance from now on.
His bag of tricks has worn thin. Every time he wants something, it is a catastrophe - immediate threat or some other fear mongering tactic he can think of. It is old already and he knows it. But he can’t switch gears now, he has locked himself into his position.
the only real threat is now that he has time to do much damage.
We must do what we can to stop it, but the more outrageous he becomes the less people will like him.
Personally, I think after this health bill, they have about expended all their good will, first year give him a chance bs and they have been pained socialist. It is going to be hard to push much more through without being watched close.

And yet, the crooks in DC have cheated on their taxes, have committed blackmail, bribery and God knows what other crimes (the Clinton list of mysterious deaths), including robbing hard-working Americans of their futures and the future of their children and future generations....and they are still there, committing the same crimes against us and plotting even new ones. They actually think that they are above the laws that everyone else has to abide by.

They’re wrong about that too. We just need to show them.

You're right, and there are some things to make one hopeful.

Regarding the ACORN ballots, that is a frequent misconception that I see here. There weren't 3 million fraudulent ballots. There may have been 3 million fraudulent voter registration attempts, but these were discovered and thrown out. No doubt some unknown number of fraudulent voter registrations got through, and no doubt some percentage of those were associated with fraudulent votes. However, no one knows how many of these there were.

Regarding the death care bill, the problem with this is that the Democrats have crafted it so that the destructive aspects mostly occur after the 2012 election. I think if we ever are looking at how to fix the Constitution to prevent the usurpation of the rights and limits enumerated therein, one area we need to look at is Congress passing laws or tax increases that take effect after their term.

“The red SOB’s can pass whatever they want let’s see them try to
enforce it .

Effective immediately, all patriots should file new W4 forms to stop federal withholding and refuse to provide proof of health insurance to the socialists in DC.

They can’t put us all in jail”

An excellent idea!

Resistance to our American Bolsheviks at first should be limited to non-violent protests like tax revolts, strikes, and all other forms of civil disobedience we can dream up.

There is a redress list here, which MAY bring the Progressives to their senses, but I doubt it. I think they have already crossed the Rubicon to civil war, just listen to their profanity that passes for rhetoric, so anything we do to stop or delay them will only result in MORE anger and violence directed our way.

After all, the Leftists have waited over 30 years for total power over the country, and they hate us with a passion that you can almost cut with a knife on websites like the Daily KOS and they have a track record of violence.

Something wicked this way comes.

""It is called a Constitutional Convention." NO, NO, NO! That is the WORST thing that could happen. The commies and the media would rewrite the Constitution in a heartbeat, and RINOs would be handing them the pen and paper to do it. " Agree 100%. The objective should be to UPHOLD the Constitution. If that happened, we'd all be happy [and less over-taxed!]

“This is the end game of de-federalization. It is happening before our very own eyes! Live and remember these times.
Brilliant post. Absolutely true.

Many of us are panicking with the “Oh, woe is us” chorus, but we’ve got it backwards. We aren’t going down because of them. We’re going to crush them and stand on their bones as we light the torch of the New Renaissance.

Monuments will be built to those of us in this time who spit in the eye of tyranny, and brought it to its bloody end.”

Interesting you should say that at the same time the Battle of the Bulge raged in Belgium during WW II. As is well known, this was the largest land battle waged by the U.S. Army in its history, which for a few scary days looked like a large scale defeat and retreat to the English Channel in the middle of one of the coldest winters on record in Northwestern Europe.

However, the Army rallied and under the leadership of generals like Patton and the rank&file like the 101st Airborne counter attacked. The end result was one of the worst defeats ever suffered by the German Army and a speedy end of the war.

Therefore, it may well be that our American Bolsheviks, like the desperate German Nazis of a previous generation, have waged everything they hold dear on one last roll of the dice.

Otherwise, why the hurry in passing all this legislation?

I’ll answer that - Because capitalism and freedom has spread to the whole world - The Left must destroy the USA soon, the homeland of freedom and beacon of hope for mankind, or NEVER.

I met a very nice liberal family from Portland on a recent cruise. The wife worshipped Obama and hated Bush. I told her 26 million women in Iraq and Afghanistan now live under the rule of law, thanks to Bush. She didn’t see the significance, as nothing good could possibly come from war.

Later, after hearing they had bought an historic home and were remodeling it, I said the value will be appraised on energy-saving rather than what the market was willing to pay, under Cap ‘n Trade. They were happy about it. You just can’t fathom the stupidity of liberals, even when they are smart and successful.

They holler about the Patriot act but can’t wait to turn their private medical information over to the government.

Jim is absolutely right. I honestly believe that only the hand of God can help us now. Trillions of dollars can buy absolutely anything and everyone, as you can see with this Orwellian nation that we have become.

We may have already become an enslaved nation and don't even know it. Hey, there are still Cubans on the island who have to seal to eat and still defend the revolution against the imperialists. Hitler had plenty of support from Germans and the world before they lost the war.

Perhaps the health care "voting" is all a charade for the masses, like what we saw in Copenhagen. May God help us.

Whatever, it looks like it was major trauma.

Well, that that for what it's worth.

Your right about the ballots, that was my misstatement. But I would like to point you to two posts that are food for thought. ;-)

http://defendourfreedoms.net/2009/03/23/more-than-half-acorn-voter-registrations-invalid.aspx

and

http://newsrealblog.com/2009/12/13/white-house-serves-acorn-cookies/

With the problems of the taxes and effects of 2012. The bill of health care will start taxing now. Which is going to be a burden for most people. They will become even more upset when they find that Obama has crafted this so that the more damaging aspect of rationed care and cutbacks become apparent only after 2012.

people are going to be mad that they are being taxed for 5 years without any service. That is when we have to start pointing out that the service that they will get after 2012 is not something that they really want anyway.

After they feel the pinch in their wallets, we can drive that issue home. How bad the bill is, how congress added taxes that take place after their terms etc.

It is certainly a bad situation and the more people become frustrated with these antics of Obama, the more of a firestorm there will be on the day of reckoning.

We just have to keep plugging away till then and trying to bring factual information out about what has and is being done to us.

I enjoyed your thoughtful posting. One ray of hope that I see is that most politicians seek cover. If enough conservatives win mid-term elections, RHINO’s and Blue Dogs will shift right, IMO.

Right now, with ultra-leftists and progressives dominating the House, pols have moved further left, in the real or imagined need to do so to stay in the game.

I include McCain in this group.

Or maybe I’m just optimistic this evening!

Very late to this thread, but Bravo! Mr. Robinson.

The only question seems to be when, exactly, we quit spilling ink over the obvious, and accept that blood will most likely need to be spilled, our own, and most likely others' as well.

Here is my thought for all those still doing the conservative version of the "Hope and Change" thing: How about we all make the following oath to each other, pledging together, like our Forefathers, our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

We pledge to spend the next year doing two things: First, gathering supplies for the long haul - money, necessities, barter items, ammo, etc - and forming networks (formal and informal) of like-minded people; Second, working our hearts out at one last effort to preserve and turn around our Constitutional republic through the electoral process leading up the election.

If we make a real difference at that time, we persist with those tactics. If not, we pledge to move on to general strikes and other forms of peaceful civil disobedience for a period of, say, six months.

If we make a real difference through that approach, we persist. If not, we pledge to then move on to those rights which our Founding Fathers so eloquently spoke of in the Declaration of Independence, backed up by their enumeration of our God-given Second Amendment right. We persist at those efforts until we either win or die trying.

If at any point before then the issue is forced upon us violently by those who would enslave us, we then move on as well to that last option.

We can squabble about the definition of "real difference", which might or might not be a useful discussion, but without a plan with a timetable like this we have no unified sense of where the breaking point is, and how much further tyranny we are willing to tolerate, and at what point we take which actions.

Those are my thoughts, and my hat's in the ring.

Times' Up!
