A Salvation Army major was fatally shot in front of his three children Thursday afternoon as he walked into the the organization's community center in North Little Rock, authorities said.
Around 4 p.m., two black men dressed in black approached Philip Wise, 40, of Maumelle outside the community center at 1505 W. 18th St., Pulaski County Coroner Garland Camper said.
Wise children ages 4, 6, and 8 were walking with him when the men came up to them, police said. His wife, Cindy, also a major in the Salvation Army, was inside the center at the time and called 911.
One of the men pulled a gun, demanded money and then shot Wise, police said.
Police ask that anyone with information contact them at 758-1234.

Drug dealers are armed and will shoot back.
Much needed prayers up for this man’s family.
Did Huck grant them a pardon? Poor kids had to witness that :( Very tragic indeed
+memory eternal+
I wonder if the perpetrators were Muslims?
Actually, the reporter doesn’t say that the perps were black. He says, “two black men dressed in black.” More details later.
I suppose even that may be going too far by MSM standards, but it doesn’t cross the line.
Um it say’s the men were black, i don’t believe there are any black Amish? or did you mean Muslim?
“WTF is wrong with people”?
They hate the good. They are literally satan’s minions.
Article explicitly mentioned “black men”. Isn’t that a hate crime? Or at least a violation of the American Journalist Association guidelines for “blackwashing”?
That may be true, but his widow and three young children are in horrific agony and shock right now. Their loss can never be replaced in this life and their pain will be intense for years to come. May God grant them His Grace and the Consolation of the Holy Spirt that they may persevere.
Amen shipmate, Amen!! I am so F’in outraged at this. In thier wrapped minds Obama told them to get in peoples faces.
And, I’m like some others, I was amazed to see they were described as black. It’s about damn time!
In the herd mentality of a street thug group such as these vermin, it’s a badge of honor to off da man. They didn’t have to shoot this man. The scum that did it did it for status and bragging rights within the herd.
Ever watch A&E’s ‘The First 48’? The intelligence of these gang banging, shuck and jive scum is zero.
There is a 357sig in the Jeep at all times. There’s a LCP380 in my pocket. If someone pulls a gun on me I expect to get shot but hope I have practiced defensive close quarter combat enough to even the odds.
God bless the family. Comfort them and give them peace. May the preps of this crime have hell on earth until they are caught. Amen
AMEN! AMEN!
PRAYER PING FOR MURDERED SALVATION ARMY BRO.’S FAMILY.
Just some typical Obama voters out to celebrate and redistribute the wealth.
Violence begets violence.
Hanging in front of the court house would lower the murder rate.
I can’t believe I’m typing that on Christmas Day. This has to be the most heart wrenching story I’ve seen in a long time. I have no words to describe the sorrow I feel for this fine man’s family.
I work with the Sal Army, there’s no finer group of people.
Was this attack the peaceful hand of Islam?
Unfortunately another one—very sad ping.
It’s simple math, really. If you live near the ‘hood, you will need one AR-15 rifle and 5,000 rounds, and one pistol and 5,000 rounds, for each member of your extended family. If you live in the ‘burbs, you will need only one of each. Contemplate the savings and act accordingly.
I dare you to tell that one to the loan officer at the bank. :)
Don’t jump to conclusions. They were merely asking for some of what was rightfully theirs from the man. Ask any obama voter, they will confirm it.
I would opine obama voters also.
