Folks, it's just as simple as this:
1) McCain is anti-free speech. The Roberts Court has declared McCain-Feingold, the ultimate self-serving pro-incumbency act, unconstitutional as we all knew it was from the start.
2) McCain supported and voted for the bailouts which are unconstitutional, anti-liberty, anti-capitalism, anti-free-markets, un-American and not only enabled, but swept the Marxist B. Hussin Obama into power.
3) McCain is pro-global warming which is unconstitutional, anti-capitalism, anti-free-economy, un-American and idiotic!
4) McCain is pro-amnesty for illigal aliens which is anti-capitalism, anti-liberty, un-American and idiotic!
5) Instead of fighting FOR us, FOR the Constitution and FOR Liberty, McCain chooses to join with the Democrats to fight AGAINST us and against Liberty at every chance he gets. He's a backstabber!! The enemy within!!
There are many other reasons to reject McCain but I believe the five listed above are reason enough.
McCain is anti-liberty, anti-capitalism, anti-constitution, anti-free-markets, pro-Big Government and willingly and knowingly passes liberty killing unconstitutional laws and therefore is not part of the solution; he is part of the problem. The problem is too much government and too little freedom and McCain is pro-Big Government. He is no conservative, not even a moderate. He's a progressive!!
Tea Partiers please take action against McCain. I'm only a day's drive from Arizona, so please let me know when and where and if at all possible, I'll be there.
Meanwhile, in this year of the Liberty-loving, anti-Big Government, anti-progressive-incumbent Tea Party, please send your support to the most viable challenger, J.D. Hayworth!!

And, no, I don't hate Sarah for supporting McCain, but I sure hope she doesn't damage herself too badly. We need her in 2012! She just hasn't realized yet that the primary reason Joe Biden is sitting in her office in D.C. is JOHN MCCAIN himself!!

Well, uh, I think she was running for VP. I also think McCain did himself (and her) in when he suspended his campaign and rushed back to DC to back stab the taxpayers. All he had to do was be a LEADER and lead the nation away from the bailouts to set himself apart from Obama (and the panicky Bush) and in the process save us all from Obamunism.

Yea, McCain hardly lifted his finger to oppose BO...and he had mega opportunities to do just that. I never got so irritated with a candidate for Pres. as I did with McCain....and I blame him for BO sitting in office to this day. He handed it to Bo and I cannot forgive him for that because he handed our country over to what we seeing playing out now...Onward then for the fight I say...and we’ll take our country back.
It is time for John McCain to hang it up. I am still saddened by the decision of Palin to support him. But I will wait and see what she does before making more comments against Palin. While I am glad she is supporting Bachmann, I will not agree that McCain should remain.
Forget it, Bob. Palin was the best decision he ever made. She kept him from losing in a 50 state landslide. She may even save his senate seat (not that he will be thankful for her self-sacrifice).

I know [Palin] probaly feels she owes McCain for putting her in national spotlight. BUT...McCain and his people also threw her to the wolves. McCain never came out and backed her up when his “people” (i.e. Steve Schmidt, Nicholl Wallace) bash her on the network news shows.In a nutshell, the lady owed him nothing. Not one damn thing. And you just enunciated the reason why. The behaviour of McCain's people---to which the senator had at best a tepid and at worst a mealymouthed response---cashed any check she might have owed for 2008 and her vault to national prominence.
Her better course might have been to say nothing, endorse no one in Arizona. She could not then be accused of anything, her silence would have been as damning to McCain as his people only thought their assaults were upon her, and she might even have been free to offer backchannel support (it's done all the time in politics, for better or worse) to Hayworth once he made a firm commitment to make the race. And it would not prevent her from throwing her support to other candidates elsewhere.
McCain has proven himself the opposite of a gentleman. Even if politics ain't beanbag, there are certain things a gentleman does not do or abet no matter whether the lady can or cannot take care of herself. And Palin with her endorsement has looked for even a short while like the battered wife who's only too ready to believe it when her louse of a husband promises he'll never, ever, ever do it again if only she'll . . .
(not that he will be thankful for her self-sacrifice).If you could bank anything on McCain, and for long enough before 2008, you could bank on the fact that at the moment anyone sacrificed self or anything else for him, he might not have been driving the bus that rolled over them but he was certainly pumping the gasoline into the vehicle before it left the depot.

Yes it is the best thing he could have done instead of going back to the senate after losing the presidential race.
This is not the RINOs seat, this is not Senators Juan McCains seat!
This is the people of Arizona's seat.
That said, I don't believe the TEA Party movement has had as much impact as you stipulate. That would be difficult to prove or disprove. Still, I admit they have been very influential and I admire every person who participated and I thanked them on this very board for making the effort, even while saying their efforts would be for naught. Seems I was wrong on the latter...
That said, I still believe that the normal off year election pendulum swing will not reverse our course into the abyss. Yes, it can slow things down, providing the Repubs get some real cojones and start to fight hard for our Heritage instead of reaching across the isle, but they always do.
It's going to take more than a Repub majority in the House to REVERSE our slide into Marxism. Reason: people want stuff; pubbies want to be accepted; liberals want power; incumbents have the edge; the pendulum swings; the "gimmes" are growing. Do the math, Sir. Yes, we both know the House could defund...they won't. Once a tax or bureacracy or funding is put in place, most stay forever.
Yes, a slow down is good thing, but I don't believe it will last. Think Bush, Pubbie House and Senate. What did that get us but encouraging the "gimmes" to elect the marxists.
That is why I have been promoting STATES' RIGHTS for sometime now. Yes, that is also politicians, but closer to the people's will and possibly easier to affect. If enough States just say NO to DC mandates (via legislation and/or State Constitutional Amendments), we can reverse the beginning of the end of this great experiment.
There are many States now passing resolutions and legislation to re-affirm their 10th Amendment rights. If I'm wrong, great. If I'm right, than STATES' RIGHTS is the last hope before the shooting starts.
You are right, "rebellion" IS brewing. I just don't want us to hang out hats on some few politicians like Brown. I don't trust ANY politician. I see a bigger answer, and that is still STATES' RIGHTS!
I love the TEA party folks. I admire those who will get off their ass and try (you know my history). But I no longer believe in the election process, much less political parties, and even less DC demonstrations there are held every week and ignored.
I sincerely hope I'm wrong and November 2, 2010 will usher in many new Constitutional types. Maybe it will. And then what happens if they fall under the power of the old established patriarchs?
So now that I've admitted that I was wrong, can we discuss States' Rights? I still believe you to be such a supporter. We spent too many years being disgusted with politicians and promoting basic Constitutional principles. I'm not your enemy.
