As the Massachusetts blame game unfolds, the president’s unpopular health bill leads the list. But the substantive provisions of the bill were just part of the problem. Perhaps more important, voters were appalled by how the deal unfolded.

Consider the pre-election giveaway to the labor unions. Negotiators agreed to exempt union contracts until 2018 from the tax on so-called Cadillac health-insurance plans. That backroom bargain not only outraged the voters, it also violated the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution, requiring the federal government to extend equal protection of the laws to all U.S. persons. Of course, not all voters understood the constitutional nuances, but they sensed that something was very wrong; and they reacted.

I have been disturbed by the socialists for years, ever since I learned many members of Congress 'openly' joined the DSA (Democratic Socialists of America). Several years ago, the names were published on the DSA site. (since removed of course) Please post any info you have, many of you have been on this issue for many years, & if we can store it all on one thread, we have our FreeRepublic Warehouse on the enemies of the state. How DO we combat this, when it's coming at us from every angle? When the people have been asleep for decades. Please post anything you have found or accumulated. Also choose a dictator these people follow, of particular interest,those in D.C. who have been quoted with their adulation of one.

The agenda to take over all aspects of our lives is on track and moving forward as we sleep.

Notice, the Cap and Trade Bill, announced weeks/months ago is now going a different route. They have decided to place increased prices on the oil companies at the source of the oil, gas, coal, energy. The result will not change nor the intended consequence. It will, indeed, force the prices on all our energy sources to increase like double. Who can stand these increases on everything we buy, eat, require as basic necessities, tax increases are coming. DO NOT BELIEVE IT WILL NOT EFFECT YOU. EVEN THE WELFARE RECICIENTS, ETC. the price of everything across the board will increase.

A year from now ... if they have accomplished these first basic yet catastrophic changes: we will not recognize much about America. Immigration amnesty is coming. The Health care bill is being pushed through and jobs are disappearing. Before the next election there will be some governmet jobs created on government projects. Which will increase the economy for a period. When the project is over ... so are the jobs. Yet the new legislation they are empowered with in Washington will begin to morph into areas, not expected or anticipated. then the one world government and the United Nations changes will come next. Kiss your world good bye.

Our only hope is in God and His mercy. IF ...

Obama argued to the group of progressive members that his health care reform bill should be looked at as the foundation of reform, that can be built on in the future. He asked them to help gather votes for the final health care battle and promised that as soon as the bill was signed into law, he’d continue to push to make it stronger. But in a matter of weeks, he stressed, he could sign into law legislation that would lead to 31 million new people being insured, including the woman who wrote him…

“He just said that the public option, something that he has supported along the way, is not something that we can pass. And he emphasized the fact that the decision now is between doing as much as we can do and doing nothing. That’s it. He thought the whole foundation thing — that this is definitely something we could be proud of, something we could build off [of],” said Schakowsky.

Woolsey told Obama that she’d be introducing legislation to create a public option and Obama said he encouraged the effort, according to Schakowsky.

But, said one attendee, Obama pointed Kucinich toward single-payer language that Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) was able to get into the bill. Kucinich fought for an amendment that would allow states to adopt single-payer systems without getting sued by insurance companies. Obama told Kucinich that Sanders’s measure was similar but doesn’t kick in for several years. “He definitely wrote it down,” said one member of(about) Kucinich, suggesting that he’d look into it.
