Beck’s UK broadcast runs without ads; over 100 companies have ditched Beck
Jack & Jill Politics ^ | February 16, 2010 | James Rucker

Yesterday, for the fifth day in a row, the UK broadcast of Glenn Beck’s TV show was forced to run without any advertisements. This is thanks to efforts by StopBeck.com to pressure companies advertising on Beck’s UK broadcast.

While Beck’s UK broadcast has been forced to run without ads, his US broadcast has been reduced to running promos for other shows on Fox, ads from direct marketers (think exercise equipment and gold coins) and a handful of private companies headed by right-wingers.

Chortle!
There are more ads on Glenn Beck right now than ever before, from every kind of company out there. His show is probably making more profits than every prime time program on CNN and MSNBC, which he beats in the ratings, even with his show at 5 pm.

I wish we were as successful with boycotts. The left is in control.

I don’t see Carbonite on your list, and I know I have seen lots of ads from Carbonite on Beck’s program.

I have never heard his radio program - simply don’t have time. But I do watch his show every day for the last few months online and on demand. Without this option, I simply could not watch his show with my schedule.

He has some great guests on his show and really does a good job of discussing history of movements (progressives etc) and government programs and how they relate to the issues today. Nobody on the right is spending as much time on educating the public on how we got here as Beck.

Yes, he does go doomer on occasion, but it seems sincere - out of love of country, not necessarily to score points. Although I’m sure it helps.

Where else would you see Art Laffer, Larry Schweikart and some other wonderful historians and economists from a more Conservative point of view on national TV? And they are able to actually make their points without being shouted down by crazed liberals!

The bottomline for me is that he is the only political show that I make time to watch. O’Reilly, Hannity, Greta just don’t do anything for me. They just don’t seem to ever get to the meat of any topic. I like Beck’s balance of humor and presentation of the issues. But I can understand why some would not be interested.

There's not a single Beck hater on this thread.

And we'll ALL take up the fight........with or without Glenn Beck.

The left is attacking Beck by attacking and bullying his advertisers.

A long list of martyrs appears in that countries history. These were religious and political persons. Great pride was taught years ago about the rights of Englishmen. That the censors wield so much power, should tell the citizens there a thing or two.

"I may not agree with what your say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it"
Generally attributed to Voltaire, but also to Edmund Burke.

Either England will go under, or all hell will break loose. The latter I would not count on. Churchill turns over in his grave at humble Blaydon.

Correction to my post.

Winston Churchill is buried at Bladon, Oxfordshire.

Voltaire, but he never said it.

Burke never said his supposed (and admittedly) great quote about the good men allowing the triumph of evil by doing nothing.

Dang it, I agree with you again
>>>>> I don’t like Michael Savage (Weiner) either, but he’s been right about a few things too, and one of them is that “liberalism is a mental disorder.” <<<<<

Savage has a problem with people that are smarter than he is... when they start to make a point or poke holes in what he is saying he cuts them or talks over them then cuts them off and complains that his (whatever) hurts

I have yelled at my radio so many times “dammit that guy/gal was making sense! Why did you cut them off?”

(Texas is a Big State and Radio Stations are sometimes unavailable so I pretty much listen to what is)

Beck’s a hypocrite for using the same Saul Alinsky tactics on those who simply demand BO/BS obey the natural born citizenship requirement per Article 2 Section 1 as he has stated many times are used against him. I stopped watching him several months ago.

We need to fight back and send letters of support to all his current advertisers and ones who have been forced to remove ads.

Looks like there are problems with the list but assuming it' correct, fine... show your support. Tell you what I've done when an advertiser withdraws after caving in to leftist thug boycotts... I've called the company up and told them that boycotts work two ways. By their actions of caving in, they definitely lost me as a potential customer since I don't support companies that cave in to leftist thugs.

We need to fight back

You fight back, and leave me out of it. Have you noticed his US advertisers? They're almost all hawking gold, unless they've got some scheme to rip off Medicare, or having an Al Gore look-a-like on those stupid LifeLock commercials. Beck is severely damaged goods.

If you are going to eat your own buy the good salt “Sea” or “Kosher” and remember to always grind fresh black peppercorns.

Butter not only adds flavor but helps with lubricating while trying to swallow

You have to keep in mint that the Loopy Left has lots of “Useful Idiots” in their party. Take Obama-care for instance, they don't understand it but they support it.

Your right I have noticed that too. Hannity is the only one to come out and say he believes Obama is a socialists or Marxist. But every time they say something negative about Obama they always add but I don't believe he is a socialists or a bad guy. IMHO Obama is evil, he surrounds himself with like minded people and he hates America especially whites in America. No one has to tell me this I can see it when he speaks and every time he speaks he lies.

No. This is ColorOfChange.org again. According to the full article they are working hard to pressure companies by using Al Sharpton/Jesse Jackson discrimination tactics against these companies. This is the same stuff ACORN did to the banks to get the banks to give high risk loans and we see how well that turned out.

*** I don’t know how to take his constant exhortations of doom.***

Just look at the 1964 SSA publication about how Social Security is set up so it would NEVER run out of money, then look up how the SSA IS runnning out of money and puts your “contribution” in US Treasury bonds.

http://www.ssa.gov/history/ssa/usa1964-2.html

Self-Supporting

The program is designed so that contributions plus interest on the investments of the social security trust funds will be sufficient to meet all of the costs of benefits and administration, now and into the indefinite future—without any subsidy from the general funds of the Government.

http://www.ssa.gov/history/briefhistory3.html

http://www.socialsecurity.gov/OACT/ProgData/fundFAQ.html#n4

As stated above, money flowing into the trust funds is invested in U. S. Government securities. Because the government spends this borrowed cash, some people see the current increase in the trust fund assets as an accumulation of securities that the government will be unable to make good on in the future. Without legislation to restore long-range solvency of the trust funds, redemption of long-term securities prior to maturity would be necessary.
Far from being “worthless IOUs,” the investments held by the trust funds are backed by the full faith and credit of the U. S. Government. The government has always repaid Social Security, with interest. The special-issue securities are, therefore, just as safe as U.S. Savings Bonds or other financial instruments of the Federal government.
