You have only been here since 2008, interesting.

I recall going back to at least 2001 people were critical of Paul. People here are critical of all politicians.

Who’s Ron Paul?

This shows me that CPAC is a joke. The people love Sarah Palin, it’s the do-nothing RINOs and their minions that do not.

I guess the republican party is in worse shape then I thought. I will not support mitt, ron is probably not electable and Sarah is supporting mccain.

Yep. This once again confirms the OP(formerly the GOP) doesn't represent Conservatives and hasn't for a long time.

2400 out of 10,000 in attendance voted. Not an accurate representation at all

It seems to beg the question:

Why if other candidates could be voted for, and were on the agenda, why did they fail to vote?

think 7600 additional votes might have changed the outcome

Want to try that again?

I keep hearing people on talk radio talking up Mitt Romney. They’ve gotta be kidding me. This is the same guy that got his ass kicked by McCain. He’s the governor of Massachusetts, that’s all you have to know about what a loser he is.

That's not true and how would you know that?

Google it. You can find old archives of FreeRepublic from way back. I researched it one night when trying to find posts from 9-11 to see the posts from that horrible day in America. I did this on 9/11's anniversary a year or two ago. Ron Paul was highly regarded on FreeRepublic.

Any idea how the same CPAC straw poll lined up with our 2008 primary candidates?

Romney and Paul are a lot alike. They both have small groups of cult like followers who make them win all the polls yet can never translate that into votes.

“I think 7600 additional votes might have
changed the outcome .. ust sayin’”

They didn’t care enough to stay and vote, even though Mitt paid a lot of money to underwrite this thing, I am sure, and he certainly did not want to lose. People are about as enthusiastic for hims as they are for a hemorrhoidectomy. If he pays their way, they don’t even stay to vote for him.

All this does is prove beyond any doubt that CPAC is no longer conservative.

Excuse me? What is so unconservative about real money and auditing the Federal Reserve? Pro - LIFE, Ron Paul is far more conservative than the RINOS occupying Congress and Senate seats.

If you look back in the posts from about 1998 to around 2006, Ron Paul was a huge hero on this site for standing against the sell-outs we had in congress and being the lone voice for true Constitutionalism. It wasn't until 2007 (the beginning of the primaries) did a large amount of freepers (the RINO Bushbots amongst us) start blasting Ron Paul with lies and then so-called "Paulbots" started getting mysteriously banned. So yes, this site has more history supporting Paul than bashing him.

I don't remember that. What name were you posting under in those days, or did you "lurk" for a decade before mustering the courage to post.

**Sarah Palin 7%

—You can fool some of the people some of the time...
+++++++++++++++

Then, how do you account for Ron Paul winning and Romneycare coming in 2nd?

They didn’t care enough to stay and vote,

Why, if they were Paul, Palin, or supporters of someone else? Did they know the outcome prior to the vote?

No ...

Whatever the reason such a small % voted,
I don’t think it’s an accurate representation.

A small percentage of those there voted.

I do wonder why.

Are you a Paul supporter ?
