"I'm surprised the Democrats would think there's a problem with that. "

The junior staffer in question probably "belongs" to a more senior dim.

Massa is now the 15th House Democrat to announce retirement plans...............

Kind of odd isn't it?
I've been talking to my wife about this and wonder if it has anything to do with Breitbart's promise/threat to release information that would influence the 2012 elections.

Thinking maybe he gave Holder some info to investigate and instead Holder is "suggesting" that they retire as not to embarrass Obutthole any further.

“Foley was used over and over and over and over again by the MSM to tear down the GOP. This will be over in a day or 2.”

I’m sure you’re right. Yet another example of the bigoted traitorous behavior of the water carrying RAT press. Any questions?

“I’m just cynical especially when it comes to the media.”

You’ve got good reasons to be completely cynical and distrusting of that bunch.

“I sure hope this gets as much attention as the Larry Craig story.”

From whom?

This will be over in a day or 2.

Not in Talk Radio and the blogosphere. This has legs bigger than an East German female olympic weightlifter.

John “Randy” Kuhl, whom Massa beat by 2 percentage points in 2008, is exploring the possibility of running for his old seat...

Horrible choice of words in this context.

Or maybe the staffer was gay and Massa’s remarks were anti-homo...which could also be construed as “sexual harrassment” in the dem’s PC world.

Oh, and Massa was on Wesley Clark’s staff.
Take that any way you like.

Hoyer knew of Massa allegations
Wednesday, March 03, 2010
By John Bresnahan and Josh Kraushaar, Politico

First-term Rep. Eric Massa announced Wednesday that he will not seek reelection, saying his doctors have told him that he can’t continue to “run at 100 miles an hour.”

But several House aides told POLITICO that the House ethics committee has been informed of allegations that the New York Democrat, who is married with two children, made unwanted advances toward a junior male staffer.

A more senior staffer — Ronald Hikel, Massa’s former deputy chief of staff and legislative director — took the complaints to the ethics committee and was interviewed about them twice.

Hikel declined to comment about the situation, but House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) confirmed that the Democratic leadership had been informed of the allegations before the news broke.

(snip)

“I don’t think it helps anybody in the institution, any one of us on either side of the aisle. It certainly didn’t help Mr. Foley,” Hoyer said, referring to former Rep. Mark Foley (R-Fla.), who resigned from Congress in 2006 amid allegations that he sent sexually explicit instant messages to an underage male page. When there were allegations about Mr. Foley or others, I think the institution suffers,” Hoyer continued. “And that’s why it’s so important that each of us conducts ourselves in a way that won’t bring discredit on the institution.”

So Hoyer publically, directly compared Massa's behavior to Foley's...interesting...

I’m really tired of them throwing out there Mark Foley. Mark Foley was a perv who got caught but he violated no laws.

"lolz, they don’t think it is a problem....it became a problem when it was made public. ;-)

There is an old saying in Washington regarding politicians, "You know you are in serious trouble if they catch you in bed with a dead girl or a live boy."
