On Thursday evening my husband and I made the decision to drive to Washington D.C. to be part of the "Kill the Bill" protest on the Capitol lawn.
We had been a part of the 9-12 DC Tea Party, having been part of the Tea Party movement since it's beginning, and have a vested interest in making sure this monstrosity doesn't pass (it is pending as I type this).
We drove to DC Friday evening and drove back Saturday, not able to stay for the entire event because of church responsibilities Sunday morning, but we were thrilled to be a part of this huge gathering of American citizens, and I hope these photos give a feel for what we were about, and how powerful a voice "We the People" have.
As the protest developed and our loud voice was heard, we were told by Michelle Bachmann and others in Congress that our being there indeed was having an effect on what was going on inside the Capitol building in front of us. (The Slaughter of the Constitution went down while we were there).
We broke up to go into the Congressional office buildings and "visited" the wavering Congressmen (we spent most of our time at John Boccieri's office).
If the bill passes, you can be assured that our fight is not over. We must win this battle, and if they succeed in passing this destructive, unconstitutional bill, we will fight to have it overturned.

When did you get back?
Good pics and thanks for going, I will be up there 9-11-2010... and good luck getting it over turned. Any idea how hard it will be to get any government entitlement program reversed? Near impossible. Keep me posted when we all decide to visit DC with our unloaded sporting equipment to see if they will finally get the point. Nothing, it seems, scares these people, not even the lose of their jobs.
I still think this is so twisted and evil that it won't stand up. This is not like other entitlement programs. It is pure EVIL.
And they will pay for what they are doing.
I haven’t seen anyone worse than Diane Sawyer when she broke in on the end of Home Makeover to announce the vote result... and I understand Whorealdo was equally giddy and his sidekick Sharpton said we all knew we were voting for socialism when Obama was elected... and I know from posts the day of the election there was a LOT of Freepers who voted for Obama,.
With much due respect, now what? More demonstrations? I've tried to warn everyone here on FR that protests no longer work. DC sees such every week and the elites ignore them.
So what's the answer now? Here it is:

LAWSUITS FILED BY INDIVIDUALS, NGO'S, AND STATES!
I've been trying to tell you folks for a couple years now that the above is are only possible way back. You wanted to gather, raise signs, and yell into bullhorns, which I did many years back, but I knew it was no longer viable.
Again, I remember you from the Leadership Institute in Vegas and respect your efforts, but what now? Will you finally realize that we are past the demonstrations and start working on lawsuits and State nullification? I hope you do. You are very influential on this highly regarded board. Best, R

The press are still blind ===== because they serve the prince of the power of the air - and we know who that is...\
But we must remember - the King of Kings is in charge of all that is going on and he causes even our enemies to be at peace with us - so we will soon see the scales fall off the eyes of the press and we will see full and honest reporting of the TRUTH of the Revolution now underway!

Free Republic once again is the place to be to find out what is going on around the world - especially in the “epicenter” of the great movement of God that is afoot!
It was very much worth it.
NOW, we move forward. Legal challenges, continued protests, phone calls, letters, e-mails, and most significantly for us as citizens, supporting, campaigning for the conservatives who will be running against these traitors in November.
We have just begun to fight!

Honestly, FWI, if I were not a Christian and did not know that God is in control of all these events, I would probably be in despair.
But I do not believe He has taken His hand off of America. The remnant is too strong, and we are committed to prayer and to action.
In spite of the severe body blow yesterday, I remain optimistic.
There was a helicopter hovering over head, but I don’t know if they took any photos. I would like to see one from the balcony of Congress. There were people up there part of the time, and maybe someone took a clandestine shot like they did at the 9-12 rally.
