Mitt Romney-Sarah Palin in 2012? You betcha! ZOT!!
Boston Herald ^ | Thursday, April 15, 2010 - Updated 3h ago | By Edward Mason, Hillary Chabot and Jessica Van Sack

Conservative superstar Sarah Palin opened the door yesterday to joining forces with Mitt Romney for a 2012 White House run - a hot ticket that has some Republicans licking their chops at the prospect of unseating President Obama.

“Sounds pretty good,” Palin declared at yesterday’s Tea Party Express rally on the Common when asked about pairing up with the former Bay State governor - giving the idea a big thumbs-up as she left the stage after her headline speech.

Last night, as Palin stopped for cannoli at Mike’s Pastry in the North End, she said she was “serious” about the idea.

“I have a lot of respect for Mitt,” she told the Herald.

Asked who would be on top of the ticket, Palin roared, “Ha! I haven’t even thought that far ahead yet.”

Indeed, Palin said she hasn’t decided whether she’ll run in 2012 - with or without Romney.

Romney, a presumptive 2012 Republican presidential contender who recently embarked on a nationwide book tour, has not ruled out an alliance with Palin, the GOP’s 2008 vice presidential candidate.

“Mitt Romney respects Sarah Palin and he appreciates the contributions she makes to the party,” said Romney spokesman Eric Fehrnstrom. “But his immediate focus is on helping Republicans win back the Congress in 2010.”

Some veteran political observers were intrigued by the notion of the two telegenic former GOP governors on the same ticket.

“They both have a lot they can offer a campaign,” said Douglas Lorenz, a California-based GOP consultant. “Romney has the experience as a governor and experience as a candidate for president, and when you combine that with Sarah Palin’s ability to get people motivated, that could definitely be a formidable ticket.”

Republican gubernatorial candidate Christy Mihos called the matchup “the best of both worlds.”

“They both come at it from totally different parts of the spectrum,” said Mihos, who attended yesterday’s Tea Party rally. “One deals on a gut level with people and the other is highly successful on the business end of things.”

Speaking before a rapt crowd estimated at 5,000, Palin squarely targeted Democrats, pounding away at Obama’s $787 billion stimulus package. She also lobbied for domestic oil drilling.

“I want to tell ’em, ‘Nah, we’ll keep clinging to our Constitution and our guns and religion - and you can keep the change,” Palin said, later adding, “Yeah, let’s drill, baby, drill; not stall, baby, stall - you betcha.”

Meanwhile, Palin said last night she had no hard feelings about U.S. Sen. Scott Brown’s decision to skip the rally. “He was in Washington doing his job,” she said.

Book of Mormon, Changes to

Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon by the gift and power of God. During the process of dictating, transcribing, copying, typesetting, and printing, some human errors were made. Soon after the first printing of the Book of Mormon, in 1830, readers began finding typographical, spelling, and other mistakes. The Prophet Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery made over 1,000 corrections for the second edition (1837). For the third edition (1840), Joseph Smith made further corrections after careful prophetic review, comparing the original manuscript with the printed text.

"Martin Harris related an incident that occurred during the time that he wrote that portion of the translation of the Book of Mormon which he was favored to write direct from the mouth of the Prophet Joseph Smith. He said that the Prophet possessed a seer stone, by which he was enabled to translate as well as from the Urim and Thummim, and for convenience he then used the seer stone, Martin explained the translation as follows: By aid of the seer stone, sentences would appear and were read by the Prophet and written by Martin and when finished he would say 'Written,' and if correctly written that sentence would disappear and another appear in its place, but if not written correctly it remained until corrected, so that the translation was just as it was engraven on the plates, precisely in the language then used."

in Millennial Star, 44 (6 Feb. 1882): 86-87.)

Who ya gonna believe? Present day MORMON revisionists, or a witness???

I am a Mormon and Mitt Romney is the last person on earth I would want in office. However, that goes for Sarah Palin too. Many "conservatives" (whatever THAT means anymore)are being fooled by Palin with her supposed support of Tea Party Patriots. The fact is, Palin is being used by the Establishment to reign in the Tea Party people to maintain the status quo of two-party politics.

The Tea Party movement started under the auspices of INDEPENDENCE. Therefore, the approach to our government should be from and independent position. However, we are being led, and the leaders of the Tea Party movement are being fooled, into the idea that we should take over the Republican Party. Mark my words: That will never happen!

We Patriots should stand on a platform that we will revive the Spirit of Independence. We should acknowledge that the government is not the REAL problem: It is who controls our government. And that would be banks, insurance companies, and multinational corporations....all under the guise of capitalism....which is not capitalism at all. These powerful entities have created an interdependency for small business, requiring them to play by the rules of big corporations, who rules are legislatively created by their own attorneys, hence, the writing of such bills submitted for the passage by our government puppets, hence, the control over our government.

And if you want the spiritual aspect of control, it is the "love of money" that controls our government and these money cartels are tied into international interests who, in turn, own other governments. The fact is folks, the whole world is being conditioned to "wonder after the Beast." IN other words, it is be conditioned to accept a New World Order, or whatever other terms used to describe this power and control over the worlds masses. And we who think we can stop this ALMOST invisible evil are saying to ourselves, "Who is like unto the Beast, and who can war with [it]?" In other words, where is the center of this power and how can we stop it?

Part of the problem in our activism is that we think we can stop this from coming to pass, or, at the very least stop this from incorporating America. We would be fools to believe this. America is already incorporated into it and is leading the way. Believe it or not. What we Patriots have failed to realize is that our planning has failed to incorporate what we KNOW the near future holds in terms of prophetic utterance. What we have been warned by John the Revelator and ancient prophets has not been taken into consideration in establishing a solid modus operandi. Hence, our movement has been confused by the many different factions and the newbyness of its members. And People like Jim Robinson and I, who have been in this for over 25 years feel like, at times, pulling our hair out trying to get everyone on the same track.

Well, when we begin to realize that we will not stop this Beast, New World Order, whatever you want to call it, from coming to pass FIRST, then we will never really know what effective actions to take. Elections will solve nothing. And even if we were to have a 40% incumbent replacement rate, nothing will change. Again, mark my words: The Health Care Law will never get repealed even if we voted in all Republicans.

No: If anything, we should be getting prepared for harder times ahead. We should be getting prepared for the eventual collapse of a world system that is doomed to fall on its own momentum and volition. Trying to stop it only delays what WILL eventually happen. .

Sense we are fighting a war like no other war has been fought, it will take some outside-the-box thinking in creating strategies to defeat it. I like to look at it like a martial arts technique: You use the momentum of the enemy to destroy the enemy as if you were not even there. Ponder upon this...you might be surprised at what kind of thoughts enter the mind. Regardless, we must realize that the enemy we fight today is like no other in the history of war. And the way this enemy will be defeated will be like no other defeat in the history of the world. But, remember this: If you do not PREPARE yourselves, as encouraged by the Parable of the Ten Virgins, you will either meet your Maker, become part of the enslavement, or survive underground to rebuild from the ashes on the other side of this impending doom.

And, as like anything else, you do not have to take my word for it. But, you should keep them marked, notwithstanding.

If they do, it’s Obama for eight years. It boggles the mind to watch people so stupid as to loft candidates Conservatives won’t bother to vote for.

Romeny hasn’t got a clue. Sarah has half a clue, some popularity, and no ability to discern what to do with either.

I guess Obama is the idiot stick’s dream president.

Frankly, I can easily see her running with just about anyone at this point. Seriously, McCain is three-quarters the way to Obama, and she’s backing him to return to Washington.

She could run with about 90% of the Democrats if she can back that old worn out bucket of Leftist bolts.

Auto-Destructo!

I was thinking more that she doesn't want to run for VP again, but then again we don't know what she's up to. If she ran with Romney we would hear the same old crap as we did 2008: “You have to vote against Obama, and Sarah will make him do the right thing. I am voting for Sarah. He has changed.

Not a stitch of pressure. We do not talk politics AT ALL from our pulpits or in our conferences. And I know many Mormons like me who would have never voted for Romney.

Not "convenient" but rather logical.
And I'll state further, if I were asked, 'are you a dwarf?' I would simply reply, 'no, I am not'.
Perhaps I should address you as IrrationalThin-skinnedOne?

JLA, I’ve read your comments. I know what your focus is.

If you expect me to respond to an idiotic question, you’re the idiot.

If you wish to think of me as thin-skinned, be my guest.

You ask me if I am a dwarf, and then try to cast me as the irrational one.

That is a bit humorous.

When Joseph Smith ran for president in 1844, a pamphlet expressing his views (“General Smith’s Views”) was distributed across the nation. Probably penned by Phelps, the New York Herald described the document as “a very remarkable and original document…a more curious and unique thing has probably not been published since the time of Mohamet…” The following are some of Joseph’s positions*; they are worth reading for their striking humanity alone, born, no doubt out of his own deprivations:
