We have now reached the apex of "heads I win, tails you lose" global-warming alarmism. In his April 18 op-ed for the LA Times, author Eli Kintisch warned that "the world is running short on air pollution, and if we continue to cut back on smoke pouring forth from industrial smokestacks," global warming consequences could be "profound."
Having painted themselves into an environmental conundrum, Kintisch and climate scientists are left debating how they are going to proceed with sulfate aerosols - a natural and anthropogenic air pollutant believed to have cooling properties on the earth's atmosphere.
"Thanks to cooling by aerosols starting in the 1940s, however, the planet has only felt a portion of that greenhouse warming. In the 1980s, sulfate pollution dropped as Western nations enhanced pollution controls, and as a result, global warming accelerated," Kintisch wrote.

And then there’s those volcano eruptions you can’t do anything about. It’s Monday, and I haven’t heard Al Gore try to blame global warming for the Icelandic eruptions yet. Maybe he will tomorrow.

You could tell it would come to this. I remember a slew of studies in the past 15 or so years:
Coffee is bad for you.

Chicken is bad, causes cancer.
No, chicken is good, lowers cholesterol.
Eggs are bad, they raise cholesterol.
No, eggs are good, lots of protien.
Chocolate is bad for you.
No, chocolate is good for you!
Er, only dark chocolate is good for you.
Come up with a position, and some “scientist” will support it with a study. If I had a LOT of money and had a theory that paying someone to excersize for you while you drank beer, ate cheeseburgers and watched sports on TV. I could get a “scientist” to provide a study to prove it.
We live in very dishonest times. And moving farther away from God isn’t helping matters.
Well, then my New Year’s resolution to increase my carbon footprint is helping the planet.
Now, if I could only put a coal burning smokestack in the back yard......

I recently read coffee is bad for you, so I cut down on coffee.
Then I read red meat is bad for you, so I cut back on red meat.
Then I read sex is bad for you...so I have cut back on reading.
