TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - The backlash against Arizona's tough new crackdown on illegal immigration is now beginning to affect enrollment at the University of Arizona. In a campus-wide e-mail sent out Thursday morning, university president Robert Shelton states, "The families of a number of out-of-state students (to date all of them honors students) have told us that they are changing their plans and will be sending their children to universities in other states."
Shelton goes on to express concern about the impact of SB 1070. He said the decision of students to withdraw "should sadden anyone who cares about attracting the best and brightest students to Arizona."

But at the same time, Shelton indicated the University does not plan to defy the law. He writes, "UAPD, which is one of the finest police operations anywhere, will be receiving extensive training on the specifications of the new law. I have total confidence that they will abide by the letter of the law, which includes a provision that individuals may not be stopped solely on the basis of race, color or national origin."

I wouldn’t worry about getting the “best and brightest”. They’re obviously neither.
I suggest the self-deporting students deport themselves to a university in Mexico. I’m sure Ciudad Juarez must have a university somewhere.
There is no tactic to low for liberals to stoop to is there? I wonder how many people believe this sh** or even care if some students have decided to get out of Arizona. The state will be better off for it. Maybe if we play our cards right all liberals will quit going to any colleges and Universities.
Everyone is an honor student in the departments of Education, Business, Ethnic Studies. The rest have to study to earn a place in their class.
Thanks Enchante.
To the leftist students I say: GO!! Please!! Hurry!
