Holder's Got To Go

Competence: Stumbling from one gaffe to another and showing little appreciation for our Constitution, Attorney General Eric Holder has become a major embarrassment. Time to admit he's in over his head and let him go.

We were never big fans of the AG, but like many others, we had hoped our misgivings were wrong and that he'd be successful as the nation's top law enforcement officer. Sorry to say, he hasn't been.

Events in recent days and weeks show that Holder has little if any understanding of our nation's most precious asset, the Constitution, and seems oblivious to the actual requirements of his job.

An appearance before the House Judiciary Committee last week illustrates the problem. Holder told the panel that Justice Department decisions "are done in a political way." Thanks for the honesty, but that's not what the job requires.

This may explain why Holder could question whether Arizona's new law on illegal immigrants is "unconstitutional" and imply that those who drafted the bill were racist, and, in the next breath, admit that he hadn't even read the 17-page bill.

If he took the time to read it, he'd discover that Arizona's measure basically takes existing U.S. federal law and makes it state law too. Is the federal law unconstitutional as well?

By the way, the only reason Arizona felt the need for such a law was that the U.S. Justice Department — which Holder heads — refuses to enforce U.S. law as written. The state's porous border has become a major source of drug and human trafficking, kidnapping, murder and other crimes. In short, Arizona had no choice.

Holder is sort of interesting in a scientific way. Never has anyone pushed the Peter Principle envelope so hard.

I have never understood why Israel continues to harbour Marc Rich. Does Israel really need his philanthropy or is there something else going on here? It does not make sense to me...

Oh, yeah, Obama will replace him with someone more to our liking.Uh, huh. I like IBD, but these constant “fire this one, fire that one” (Napolitano, Emanuel, Holder, etc.) are ridiculous, beside-the-point, and self-defeating. ALL of these people are worth infinitely more to us in office than OUT of office. They are a perfect fit with Obama, as is his
Supreme Court pick, Kagan. Best to let them show and continue to show their true faces, and not push them into
“stepping aside”, (while still controlling their offices) while someone more “acceptable” is allowed to go through the charade of being any different from the original.
Obama replacing ANYBODY with ANYBODY else will only buff up his MSM image, and make it easier for them to blab on and on about how flexible and mature he is.

I agree. At least with Holder we have a walking gaffe machine. If he goes they might get someone who really knows what he’s doing. Let’s not stop our enemy from shooting himself in the foot.

Holder is there until 2013

I don't agree. Holder is toast and has become an embarrassment. His replacement is likely to be worse. His thin-skinned, arrogant, preening, ignorant boss cannot handle anything that, in his view, reflects badly on him.

But I could be wrong. I've been wrong before, but not often about these clowns.

To be replaced with what?

A randomly picked person from the telephone book would likely be better than anything Obama is likely to dredge up.

Actually-—when he fled-—he became an Israeli citizen. But Israel does not like to be known as a haven for criminals. So Rich moved to Switzerland....and lives there today, as far as we know.

Eric Holder is like a big sign for the administration that says...
"are we stupid or what!!!"

He's doing an excellent job of communicating the essence of Obama's plan for America (i.e. pro-terrorist, pro-islam, pro-New Black Panthers)!

We need him to stay until the next election!

I like Holder right where he is, making an ass of himself and the administration.

Voters have increasing doubt and buyer's remorse about obama and Holder does a great job confirming their worst fears that what they've elected is even worse than imagined. But hey, not as bad as Bush, right?...or is he worse?

BHO Admin job requirements:

Not very bright.

Totally obedient.

Totally agree with you. If we had a smart AG we’d be in trouble. Oh, he’ll put the full force of Justice Department against AZ law and he has not even read it! and it is only 10 pages long! BUT his staff will probably brief him on it someday. OMG!! The gift that keeps on giving.
