Obama Risks a Domestic Military Intervention
TPM ^ | 5/1/109 | John L. Perry

There is a remote, although gaining, possibility America's military will intervene as a last resort to resolve the "Obama problem." Don't dismiss it as unrealistic.

America isn't the Third World. If a military coup does occur here it will be civilized. That it has never happened doesn't mean it wont. Describing what may be afoot is not to advocate it. So, view the following through military eyes:

I agree but do you really belive that since Obama has been voted as US president that it would be able to prove that he is no us citizen?

The requirement is to be a Natural Born Citizen. Not just a citizen. Arnold and Henry Kissinger are citizens, but they are not eligible to the office of President.

So, the Vote, trumps all? I don't think so.

In fact the founders were quite concerned that some day it might, and why they created a Republic, with limited and defined powers. They put in the natural born citizen requirement for fear of foreign influence in our government. Their concerns wer well founded it seems.

He isn’t going to pass a damn thing in his agenda without a tame and compliant Congress either.

Get real. And so what if he vetoes things? Sometimes gridlock is a good thing and with this extremist in the White House, gridlock is a VERY good thing.

How about our intelligence agencies just doing their job to protect and defend this country from our enemies both foreign and domestic. Domestic is the foremost issue. Someone cleansed the Fuhrer’s life and sealed everything related to his shadow life. If our top spies can’t find expose the lies, who can?

Top military officers would not even consider this unless there was no question an overwhelming majority of the public would be behind them.

However, that’s simply not going to happen unless a LOT of people die under Obama’s incompetence, and he starts issuing orders in direct violation of the constitution.

Unfortunately, by that time, most of the highest ranking officers that could pull this off will be replaced... if they havn’t been already.

So don’t hold your breath on this one... although it’s still plausible.

Radical fringe group that wants to defend and uphold the Constitution and not obey orders that are against the Constitution.

In that case, the people to go after would be the ones who certified his candidacy, sans documentation. But according to you, in order to see the documents proving (or even disproving) that a crime took place, one would have to obtain a conviction, or at least the documents themselves, which have been conveniently sealed by...Obama.

Convenient? Coincidence? Or cause for concern?

I find it interesting that the media who brazenly made up documents about President Bush's past berate those who call for the release of those which actually document Obama's, but in all fairness, they made up at least one for him, too.

Me too. Also ask prayers from St Sara Palin, patron saint of Alaska for guidance...

I’ll bet you thought he’d never get “healthcare reform” passed either.

That explains it.

Maybe you should have figured that out before you posted it -- without the header explaining where TPM got it.

You fell right into the left's trap -- now they can quote the article as it appeared on Free Republic, instead of one that disappeared from NewsMax.

Congratulations.

The more likely scenario is a ganging up by the Congress and SC invoking military support for a removal from office.

That would be the Honduran model. Picture Zero arriving in Caracas still in his pajamas!

Browardchad is a troll....don't worry about it.

What it says is absurd and who cares what loons on the left think. That's what trolls want people to think. TPM got it from NewsMax where it originated.

And BTW, this story was first posted on September 29, 2009 on FR ...seven and a half months ago...so it's not going anywhere.

Obama Risks a Domestic Military ‘Intervention’

Carry on anniegetyourgun. ;-)

He is not eligible to assume the presidency under Art II Section 1. That is the basis for any action.

That would be the basis for taking action under Article I, Sections 2 and 3.

Say it were shown beyond a reasonable doubt that Zero was actually born in Kenya to BHO, Sr., and a trollop from Liverpool. That would make him ineligible for sure. Where would the case end up? Not the Supreme Court. Under Article I, they don't have the authority to remove him. It would be up to the House and Senate, solely.

Of course, if the Congress didn't up and oust him pronto, maybe a general contemplating his oath might feel compelled to act.

But the above is strictly hypothetical, since, since despite rumors to the contrary, Zero was actually born in Honolulu.

No. It's a constitutional representative republic.
