"The bill does not extend to Labor, agricultural, or horticultural organizations for some reason." After the appropriate lawsuits, I think it will apply to those, as well. Of course, better to see that it doesn't pass and avoid all that.

This Bill Also applies to New Jersey Right to Life and other pro-life and pro-2nd Amendment organizations.
Urgent - Take Action to oppose A2595/S2076 Now! Bill will restrict activities of certain non profit organizations.
Dear Friends of NJRTL:
Please Act Immediately!
Bill A2595 is scheduled for a vote in the Assembly Judiciary Committee in Trenton on Monday morning, June 14th.
The bill is sponsored by the Chair of the Assembly Judiciary Committee, Assemblywoman Linda Greenstein. A2595 is very far reaching and will restrict the activities of issue advocacy organizations like New Jersey Right to Life. This past January, in the landmark decision by the U. S. Supreme Court, Citizens United v FEC, the Court held that corporations, for profit, not for profit and unions could engage in electioneering communications and that such activities cannot be limited under the First Amendment.
Now, legislators in Trenton, want to impose onerous and burdensome disclosure requirements and restrictions on non-profit organizations which could have a chilling effect on our advocacy efforts. The bill is on the fast track. The Senate Version is S2076.
Please do the following:
1. Call and email members of the Assembly Judiciary Committee as soon as possible and urge them to vote No on A2595. See below for contact information of members of the Judiciary Committee.
2. Please contact your two Assembly Members and State Senator who represent you in Trenton and urge them to Vote No on A2595/S2076.

Please act NOW!
Thank you.

Is this America, or some Third World Police State? Uh, oh boy, um, not quite sure how to tell you this...

"The bill does not extend to Labor, agricultural, or horticultural organizations for some reason." After the appropriate lawsuits, I think it will apply to those, as well. Of course, better to see that it doesn't pass and avoid all that. With libs controlling the courts, and gaining a firmer grip every day, I'm not sure the threat of lawsuits will deter anything. If there's still a modicum of sense on the bench, this thing will be laughed into its grave without seeing the light of day - but in this post-Constitutional age of judicial legislation, the judges can do pretty much whatever they please. Not only the labor unions, but left-wing interest groups like the Brady Campaign Against Self Defense and the National Organization of Liberal Women will likely get a free pass as well :-( Just my 2 cents; believe me I hope I'm wrong!

Very true! Sadly rhetorical question (and great picture).
To: Coleus
Can't Christie VETO this as unconstitutional?
It might even violate New Jersey's Constitution

AIG type protests outside their homes and schools would be payback for what the Libs do on a routine basis. But notice that none of these protests are done in a "castle doctrine" state.

One would hope that even the soft heads at the NRA would have the courage to defy this to the bitter end. (yes, I know better than that)
