Recall that the terrorists claimed they killed Nick Berg because of the offense of the Abu Ghraib photos (which were not previously seen by the public, for a case which was already under CRIMINAL PROSECUTION of the perps, one of whom leaked the photos because he didn’t get the plea bargain his uncle tried to negotiate).

Except the timeline of events is that Nick Berg was kidnapped nearly a month before his murder. They held him. He was becoming a liability after a Haliburton employee (also kidnapped awhile) escaped and informed details of how/where he was being kept. The Abu Ghraib news broke, the media blew it out of proportion and called it worse than the most horrific Nazi attrocity (thank Disney-ESPN funded Hunter S. Thompson for that one). A few days later Berg was killed.

They will play up the “motive” to the press, but they will kill regardless. Anyone recall any of the “reasons” the other kidnap victims were killed?

‘the muslim allah is not the same as the Christian allah then..how’s that?’

Pretty much, though remember Islam appears to be an offshoot of the Christian heresy Arianism. Much of the trouble in the later Roman Empire came from the fact that nearly all of the German barbarian invaders converted to Arian Christianity. This included the Western and Eastern Goths, the Vandals, and the Lombards. Much of the course of Medieval History came about from the fact that the Franks converted to Orthodox (Catholic) Christianity.

The church of Acts didn’t go around burning books that offend the One True God.

Read the Scripture again. They brought THEIR books that THEY had used before conversion. They were giving up their old ways.

So tired of seeing this posted in support of these people!!!!!

‘Funny that we have never heard the Vatican complain about or denounce as “apostate” any of the outrageous things Muslims have done to offend and kill Christians’

The post you were referring to INVENTED the word ‘apostate’, which did not appear in the Church’s statement.

So you justify seeintg our constitional rights being trampled on because he is only one idiot?

There is no provocation for what the Muslims , for people of good minds and hearts to suddenly give in to their ultimatums as an understanding for their behavior is sad to me.

No, he has every right to do it and I have every right to say he is an idiot for doing it.

The idea that Christ is a created being is a long established principle of certain Christian heresies, including Arianism and Monophysitism<. They take care of this problem by having a somewhat different Bible. Islam started as an offshoot of such heresies./p>

Yes, I remember.

There is not one valid reason for the killing outside the public desire for world domination, but everytime one of us gives them any benefit of doubt we creep closer to losing to them.

Inciting people to violence is subjective..and you then fall into the trap of the Muslims who justify their actions because YOU incited them to violence. You did such and such so it is okay to be violent...

So it is okay to punch out Westboro because they have sodomy signs and those members had to be held back?????? But it is not okay to punch out Americans who hold signs that Muslims find offensive???
Slippery slope...

Wow. You are being bellicose and obtuse here, ansel.

It was a specific question in response to a specific post by a specific freeper (who incidentally answered the question, "Yes." and to which I replied, "Thank you for your service."

Now you are calling me a liar, and you have been calling me personally offensive names since your first post, but the truth is that you are just plain mistaken and have been since that post. The fact that you don't get it doesn't make me a liar, it just makes you stubbornly wrong.

Your bad behavior is right here in black and white for all to see, and the more you persist, the worse you look.

Perhaps, since you are itching for a fight with someone, you should go kick your dog or something equally constructive to what you're doing here.

I'm tired of this silliness. Give it up, ansel. Your accusations are getting goofy.

I’m going to stick with the attitude that God through scripture has toward pagan literature, idols, etc. Never once does it say to do anything other then destroy them.

Thank you for an excellent, thoughtful, fact-based post, Mrs. Don-o.

As a Protestant, I completely agree with you.

This is a religious war. Always has been always will be no matter how many bridges, schools, and hospitals we build in the Middle East.

We either face up to now or later.

You mean you are going to stick with twisting the scripture in Acts to fit your agenda.

The Vatican is right. Just imagine how we feel when we see a Bible defaced, or a cross in a jar of urine.

WE may not agree with the Muslim faith, but that doesn't mean it's right to desecrate what THEY consider holy.

This Koran burning is a very STUPID move on the part of that allegedly Christian pastor.

Thank you.

If I may ask, please pray for Pope Benedict's safety: but even moreso, for his fidelity.

I certainly will. He is a significant figure in Christendom, and I'm sure that Satan is working on getting rid of him.

He needs both spiritual and physical protection.

Thanks for the reminder.
