Lisa Murkowski supporters are urging people to come out tonight for whats being called a campaign kick off, although her campaign manager isnt ready to say that shes decided to run.
Bonnie Jack, who was a Murkowski campaign elections observer for the count of absentee votes, sent out an email this morning. Join us at the Kick-off of Senator Lisa's campaign -- with a theme of "write in her name in and fill in the oval."
"Denai'na Convention Center, third floor and hopefully out on the sunny deck, 5 pm. Bring your family including children, friends and business associates. We plan to make history!
Jack confirmed to me that she sent the email, and indicated that obviously the conclusion to be drawn from it is that Murkowski is running.

There aren't enough prepositions in that Murkowski campaign-originated motto.
"Write in her name in and fill in the oval in!"
Easy Ad to run...
Murkowski does not respect the will of the voter in the primary, what makes you think, she respects anything at all.
How about J.D. Hayworth runs as a write-in against McCain? Two can play this game.
IN AK they have a very liberal “intent of the voter” standard. Correct spelling isn’t required.
Hello John Cornyn! Can you hear me John? It’s time for you to do your job. Pick up Luigi and hop on the next Alaska Airlines flight to Anchorage. Tell her if she keeps this up, you have a spot for her in the most remote of the Aleutian Islands.
The country club high ball groups are proving their selfish net worth - zero. There is something seriously wrong when these poor loser egomaniacs (Crist, Castle, Murkowski, et al) decide that they are so important. Just more proof that political power has a corruptive influence on far to many politicians.
Again, paging John Cornyn; your flight to Anchorage is waiting!
yah...but “Murkowski Pontiac” just sings...
Found the last poll on RCP - Rasmussen had Miller +6 Aug 30.
So that can be the number to gauge if today’s announcement shows any declines for Miller in future polls.
You mean Cornholio?
Murkowski has supporters?
FNC just said breaking: Murkowski will start a write in campaign.
The Country Club Republicans,a/k/a as the Democrat’s whipping boys/girls and a/k/as that can’t be mentioned in mixed company. Unfottunately their numbers are legion.
How can the country survive without her!
I know you are kidding about Luigi, but you are right that Cornyn & Co. need to let her know, NOW and harshly, that if she proceeds they “turn their backs on her” forever. No lobbyist jobs, no phone calls returned, no ambassadorships to Togo, NOTHING.
The RINOs have had their powwow (and I bet Cornyn was there) and they decided they need to sabotage the Republican candidates to teach conservatives a lesson. They would rather have Democrats win than have their stranglehold of power threatened in the GOP.
Rove, Cornyn, Murkowski, Castle, Scozzafava, and Crist are all players.
They all have chosen to sacrifice themselves so other RINOs can live.
> Write-in campaigns NEVER WORK.
Sometimes they work as spoilers.
I believe that’s the intent here.
“The only conservative Ive ever seen commit this kind of vicious stupidity is Tom Tancredo.”
Except that Dan Maes had no chance whatsoever of ever winning, even before Tom stepped in to give us some kind of reasonable choice.
I’m not saying what Tancredo did was necessarily the right thing, just that Dan Maes is a complete loser. You know, the kind of guy who’s confused as to whether he was or was not a secret agent for the the KBI and/or Liberal, Kansas police department, and thinks the growing use of highway funds for bicycles is part of a plan dictated by the United Nations. (By the way, you can google and find the Dan Maes quotes about this.)
At any rate, the GOP establishment nominee was discovered a couple of weeks before the primary to have plagiarized a bunch of writing he sold for several hundred thousand dollars, thereby making ol’ Dan look pretty darn good to GOP primary voters. Bottom line, the Colorado state GOP is a disaster, and what they have wrought is, not surprisingly, disastrous as well.
