Christine O'Donnell: 'I Dabbled in Witchcraft'
ABC news ^ | September 18 2010 | RYAN CREED

Posted on 09/18/2010 11:49:47 AM PDT by Michel12

Fresh off her victory in Delaware, GOP U.S. Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell is riding a wave of campaign cash but also internet infamy, thanks in part to her controversial statements -- most notably on masturbation -- in the late 1990s on Bill Maher's "Politically Incorrect." Christine O'Donnell says one of her first dates occurred on a satanic altar.

On Friday, Maher released on his new HBO show, "Real Time," an unaired clip of O'Donnell admitting to a brief dalliance with witchcraft.

Your bitter misogyny and anti-Christ hatred is there in your posting history for all to see.

Maybe you can get all your posts deleted and revise history.

Let me add to be abundantly clear for the sake of the world’s moron population — and for any law enforcement agencies in the state of Delaware — that I am being entirely tongue in cheek and do not condone the burning of Christine O’Donnell. Even though she is a witch.

Thank you. And you are absolutely correct: “any person brave enough to stand up deserves to have our support.”

By now you are well aware that “wideawake” is anything but wide awake.

He is another that attacks real, committed, Bible believing Christians that dare run for office.

He considers them to be “unstable.”

The voters will be setting him and his ilk straight soon.

Are you sure it's Christians or just witches and warlocks and wizards and goblins? Did Christine O'Donnell put any hexes on anybody? Do we know for a fact that she didn't won't turn John Boehner into a Newt?

.
She just waxed her opponent in a public debate; is that offence or defense?

First off, she didn't run for anything 6 years ago. I guess you're referring to two years ago, when she was trounced by Biden 65-35. Not coincidentally, she seems to be polling at about 35% now.

The fact is she was the GOP nominee TWO years ago and no one thought she was 'crazy'.

And I believe 35% was the highest a Republican vote total anyone had received against him.

So, the point was (which you seemed to miss) was that she was the GOP nominee against Biden, but NOW is not qualified to be one.

Did something happen in the last two years?

The stuff she is being smeared with happened years ago, not two years ago.

[ O'Donnell is light years better than Coon, that is the ONLY choice in this race.]

Maybe, but Coons is going to win. The only choices in this race were Castle or Coons. Now, you might think we're better off with Coons in there than Castle, and you'd probably be right. But pretending that O'Donnell is going to somehow going to win in November is just plain unrealistic.

Maybe she is better than Coons, an avowed Marxist?

I do think we are better of having the CHOICE between O'Donnell and Coons rather than the phony choice between Castle and Coons.

And O'Donnell has a very good chance to win against Coons in this pro-GOP year.

No one gave Scott a chance either.

Now, the issue about her being vice president is a bit premature, but the fact is she would still be light years better than Biden.

Thank you for reiterating my assessment of your thought process.

By the way, O'Donnell lives with a man by the name of David Hust to whom she is not married. Would you consider that the living arrangement of a "real, committed, Bible believing Christian"?

After all you are the expert, correct?

In her 2008 Senate campaign, O'Donnell ran as well as any Republican in Delaware. McCain only got 37% of the vote in Delaware.

The primary is over and the people have spoken.

Why are you working here on FR to demolish our candidate?

"And I believe 35% was the highest a Republican vote total anyone had received against him."

Actually it was the absolute lowest. Only two challengers have gone below 40 against him and only one, O'Donnell, went below 37.5.

Are they together in a sexual relationship, or is it just a platonic living arrangement?

I know you are oh-so-concerned about her image.

Don't be ridiculous. O'Donnell is an adulteress and the Biblical penalty for adultery is pretty minor -- a quick and painless death (Leviticus 20:10) as opposed to a slow and horrible death by burning at the stake (for practitioners of witchcraft).

Regrettably, the Delaware Legislature has not codified Mosaic law.

Nothing I say on FR will affect a single vote cast in DE. And I hope O’Donnell wins. But, I have to strenuously dissent from the view that she is a strong candidate, a great spokesperson for the Tea Party or deserving of national prominence. My goal is to get other FReepers to have a more realistic assessment going forward, because if they pin their hopes to O’Donnell as some kind of leader, they will be disappointed.

I don’t know and I don’t care. My point is that if an establishment Republican were running and had described herself as a Christian and had that domestic situation she would be denounced as a fake Christian. But if O’Donnell does it, it’s cool. This is Sanford all over again.

a little dabbling now and then didn’t hold back these national paragons too much:

Robert Byrd: “I dabbled in cross-burnings and lynchings”

Ted Kennedy: “I dabbled in drowning young mistresses”

John Kerry: “I dabbled around on a river in Cambodia”

Nancy Pelosi: “Dabbling is not enough for me.... I AM A WITCH”

Harry Reid: “I dabble around with my pet Coons”

Albore: “I dabbled in rationality but decided it took too much effort”

John Edwards: “I dabbled in adultery and couldn’t stop”

Hillary: “I dabbled in S&M”

Bill Clinton: “I dabbled with cigars.... still do”

Obama: “I dabbled about with terrorists”
