Vanity: Fox News Panelist Liz Trotta Agrees With Karl Rove: Palin's Alaska Is Unpresidential

Posted on 11/13/2010 12:38:19 PM PST by Retired Intelligence Officer

I was appalled at Liz Trotta and 3 other conservative guest panelist (that I couldn't name) on this afternoons Fox newswatch hosted by Jon Scott all agreed that Palins new reality show, Sarah Palin's Alaska on the Discovery Channel was very unpresidential and it would sink her any chances for the White House.

The topic was that liberal advocacy groups were asking for the Discovery Channel to pull the plug on it. The consevative commentator Liz Trotta then said that she agreed with Karl Rove that this was a bad move for Palin. Trotta then goes on to take a pop shot at Palin saying "everytime this woman opens her mouth that her numbers go down". She then said "the more she speaks that she makes people simply not like her". Jon Scott did not ask Trotta why this was just like yesterday when Megyn Kelly didn't ask Meghan McCain why she thought Palin would be best as a reality star.

My question is why is Fox news who hired Sarah Palin allowing conservative guest freely without explanation to back up their facts to trash her and her message in a public forum? Why are they allowing people to tarnish her reputation as well as her new TV program which they advertize during commercial time? Something smells

Have you noticed something though. Sarah has never mentioned that she’s running for president and has clearly stated it’s not something she spends her waking hours thinking about. So why are her critics worrying about whatever she does will have some type of effect on a presidential run or make her seem “unpresidential?”

If Palin is unpresidential...then we need to elect an unpresidential person to fill the role.

Just look at the past several decades and see what “presidential” has done for us!!!

Liz Trotta then said that she agreed with Karl Rove

I'm really beginning to dislike Rove.

As I understand it the series is about Alaska. It’s not about Sarah for President.

Are these pundits so jaded they think everybody is politicking all the time?

It hasn't aired, so how can Liz & Co. give any sort of criticism of it.

Fox is for Romney who hired Rove to attack Gov. Palin.

“Rove is pushing Romney so aggressively some folks are beginning to wonder what's going on,” grumbled one veteran Republican strategist.”

“Rove has made no secret of his support for Romney as McCain’s VP. ”

“Go Mitt. Go Mitt. Go Mitt.”

Nothing she has ever done has been presidential to these smug, GOP, loser ****s.

I don’t see why that would change.

The only qualification one needs to tbe president is be a kenyan born black.

Nothing else matters, that much is obvious. That is all.

Unless things have changed, FOX News Watch only has two conservatives and two liberals, not four conservatives.

Liz Trotta is anti-Palinista like Kathleen Parker. Karl Rove is NOT, just offered opinion when asked. If Palin ends up as nominee, Rove will work on her side, paid or unpaid.

sniff sniff...smells like jealousy to me. Sarah is a running back who just keeps on smashing out big gainers no matter what the defense does to try and stop her.

I know the country would survive Palin, I’m not sure we will survive Obamao unless he is removed from office before 2012.

Rove is the worst and most dangerous type of Progressive...one who hides behind the mask of freedom and conservatism.

People forget that FDR ran his campaign claiming his GOP counterpart was a socialist when he actually was.

These people cannot be out in the light...it burns their skin.

I would have to agree.

I like this woman and like what she is currently doing as a mouthpiece and fundraiser but I do not want her to run for president. As I have said before we need someone that will appeal to the fence sitters to win and she does not appeal to them.

In my circle of conservative friends we all agree that we like Sarah but not as president.

I know I am going to get attacked for this but it is how I feel and so do many people that I talk to here in Dallas.....

So what? Obama is unpresidential each time he goes on shows like Jon Stewart or Leno or Letterman or visiting the hens on “The View”.

I hear Obama is going to be on “Mythbusters” soon. How presidential is all of this behavior from our current president?

The president is elected by the people through the electoral college. The press and the pundits try mightily to restrict the people's choices to their own chosen candidates.

If someone were able to show herself to the people directly, bypassing the media, it might really screw up the media’s carefully worked out agenda.

If that someone managed to appear bright, charming, honest, and generally fearless, that person might bond with the American People.

I don't need other people outside of my family and friends to tell me who are the good guys and who are the bad guys. I think this is true of most Americans.

If the people see Sarah and her family for 8 hours, they may actually decide that she would be a good president. Trust me, after the next book (Nov 23) and the 8 part series Sarah, her family, and the people of America will know whether she should run. It will NOT be because some invisible little navel gazing journalist tells us what to do.
