I'm doing well. I hope you are too!
Thank you Sir........that makes sense. I am a big fan of the F-22. Hate to hear of it having problems. Thought AW may have had some info on such I had not heard of .......
Again, Grateful.......Stay safe !
They should have flight data recorders . . . at least the F-16’s did so I would guess they F-22’s do too but I left General Dynamics shortly after the A-12 was canceled.
Let’s hope this pilot survives ...
Test pilot Bill Weaver survived a 1966 SR71 breakup at 78.000 ft and Mach 3.2. That story is at http://www.sunlakesaeroclub.org/updates_web_data/050828/SR71_breakup.htm
What...you mean he didn't defect to go track down that missile launched off Los Angeles or head to Area 51?!
Although I doubt he was able to eject, I am hoping so much that I'm wrong.
Man...It is COLD up there. God bless the pilot....
Apparent?? Why don’t they just say “alleged”?
Apparent?? Why don’t they just say “alleged”?

When the pilot goes missing for this long, that’s generally very bad news. I sure hope he’s alright.
Where there were only 2 F-22’s, I believed one crashed at Edwards AFB. Its from memory; anybody know?
When aircraft rely on software instead of stick and rudder, you will have accidents.
I think there are 187 or production stopped at 187 total........sadly that will be 186 now. There are currently a few full squadrons at the very least. Exact numbers I do not know.
I don't there ever beomg a crash of a stick and rudder aircraft.
The entire production costs equal what we spend each year on earmarks.
Cancel the earmarks......:o)
I wish a 20% cut across the board of silly social programs and foreign aid was passed.
They first F-22 crashed at Edwards but they were able to rebuild it.

Third
March 2009. “Cools” did not survive the ejection.
If this crash involved a supersonic ejection with another broken neck, then well...maybe the Russian design with the pole holding the standing shock is in order...
Sad news to hear. Prayers up for his loved ones. I have been off the boards for the past few days. I’ll scan most of the pings you sent.
