Thune just lost any support for 2012 from me (VANITY)

Posted on 11/19/2010 2:14:35 PM PST by jakerobins

John Thune voted for S510...the Senate bill enabling the FDA to have wide Regulation Authority over the food supply. Sorry folks but I still say DeMint is the man to watch...and of Course Sarah Palin despite her support for RINO McCain..

Perhaps they felt this bill would not come up again until after January 3rd. 60 days would be January 19th.

So many of us aren’t familiar with all the maneuvers these guys use.

We should watch and wait before flaming them.

Better yet, we should ask them what the heck they are doing?

He then needs to be called to account for this. Good find.

Could be...They could be using some Parlimentary Procedure to kill the bill because they don’t have the votes to kill it.....Still I think it would have been wiser NOT to vote for an awfull bill like this....We shouldn’t play with fire no matter how much money some of the Big Farm companies pump into canidates coffers......

Those form letters are maddening. Worse than sending nothing at all.

A vote for cloture is not a vote for the content. Right?

Well...Technicly no. The vote simply cuts of debate. It is sent to the Senate and must past within 60 days.....

If he voted no, then the Vanity was wrong and our criticism is wrong.

Well, since my other senator is an idiot Democrat with no sense whatsoever, Burr is still the better of the two.

He's not running = he's going to run.

The list of politicians who are in my opinion qualified to run is pretty limited. He is on that short list. He may not want the job, and he has said so several times. Who could blame him. Nevertheless he is one of the few that I would support.

There are probably quite a number of people who want the job, but most of them were AWOL during the last two years, or merely went through the motions. The list of actual fighters is pretty short. DeMint is one of them, and yes, we do need him in Congress. But we need a fighter in the White House too. So, does he have a brother?

See post #106. it was a cloture vote he voted yes on. He voted no on the actual vote.

I guess this goes back to the house and it has 60 days to be voted on.

I don’t know, There is so much confusion and none of us are all that familiar with the maneuvers they use.

” Well, since my other senator is an idiot Democrat “

Believe me, I’m not gloating - my Senators are Binghamon and Udall — both empty-suit Dem party hacks....

We did, however, get rid of that idiot Harry Teague for the House on the 2nd....

RINOs are not wanted. The Elitists haven’t learned that yet. Apparently, November 2nd wasn’t loud enough.

The vote was only to proceed, not final passage.

Before it becomes law, pass this on to your congresscritters:
Para-military raid on single mom goat raiser.

What part of HE VOTED NO don't you get?

His yes vote was in agreement to take a vote.

Our RINO Lugar voted NO. I am sure he did that because he is up for reelection in 2012. Indiana went almost all GOP again in 2010. He doesn’t fool me.

I knew that we are going to be pretty far from being able to let up. The Senate will be the thing that may ruin our 2012 run.

Look at the Pigeon sisters from Maine. They still don’t care. Scotty Brown. He should consider his days numbered. People in Mass voted for him in order to stop Bozo. The people that voted for him probably stayed home because he has been nothing but a democrat. Why bother? The state went all democrat in 2010. He is a fool. You can’t be in between is this. Either you go with these commies or you oppose them.

I really like Mike Pence. He is a solid conservative who doesn’t bow to pressure. And he likes Sarah!
Palin/Pence!

You’re welcome, but I’m still confused as to why he voted for cloture (which allows the bill to advance to a vote).

As far as I am concerned, it's the same thing, as it led to the vote.

He, and the 15 other GOP Senators that voted for cloture just painted targets on their backs.
