Military members who have a problem with a change in policy to allow gays to serve openly may find themselves looking for a new job, Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, warned Thursday.
Mullen told a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing that the military is based on meritocracy, "what you do, not who you are." He said if Congress changes the don't ask, don't tell policy then the U.S. military will comply.

I predict much wailing and knashing of teeth in the Pentagon this time next year once the retention rates plummet and Uncle Sam suddenly has another personnel crisis on its hands.

Hey y’all ever think this is the way to cut military spending without actually coming out and saying we want to scale back the amount of troops?
If it is repealed I highly doubt that there will be lines to get into the recruiters offices in SF, Atl. and NYC.
If even 10% walked that would be the equivalent to the entire Marine Corps and then some.
Mullun is a “SWO(Surface Warfare Officer)”. It has been my experiance the the SWO “Community” has 2 types of officers:
1. Truely Top Notch Officers
AND
2. True Bottom-of-the-Line Sh$tpiles

This is a beyond-dangerous path, allowing gays and illegal aliens in the military. They will not be reliable soldiers if push ever comes to shove and this country is under attack here.

Those soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen will give them the true poll numbers - and our forces will suffer the loss of these brave men and women as they tell Mullen to stuff it and leave.

They do not procreate, they recruit.

Gays know enough to stay out of combat units. They will gravitate to non-combat units and services.

Those societies failed on their own vomit....orgies and pederasty were the rule. Christians are also reviled today because they stand in the way of using children sexually, although the Church was attacked and invaded from within by the homosexuals. We see the results of allowing homosexuality to be glorified instead of condemned which is was until 20 years ago—before political correctness shut Christians up and homosexuals in the media tore down the Church.

Among other things, the US military is our largest bureaucracy, and a president will always be able to find senior officers to push whatever policy the president wants pushed, as Mullen and others so thoroughly demonstrate.

Not just this but a whole string of lousy, wrong, evil decisions that have happened over the last two years that are getting our people killed every day! Gawd it makes me so mad. But as a German citizen said in an interview I saw, what is one person to do? I could not go up to Hitler and “do anything to” him. He was never around in such a position that anyone could just do that, and even if they did, what about all the rest of them? Someone else would have taken his place.
