Freepers in the DC/Arlington VA area, please help 1st Lieutenant Behenna, who is imprisoned in Ft. Leavenworth, unjustly convicted of first degree murder in the self-defense shooting of a known Al Qaeda operative in Iraq. (Full details at www.defendmichael.com)
If you possibly can, please attend his appeal hearing to help show that the public is aware of this miscarriage of justice and wants to see it corrected. His case will be heard next Thursday, Dec 9th, in the Army Court of Criminal Appeals, 901 N. Stuart Street (sixth floor), Arlington, VA. The hearing is scheduled to start at 10:00 AM, but the Court Clerk advises getting there at least 20 minutes early.

Thanks so much for picking up on this and passing it on. I didn’t know how best to get the word to the appropriate chapters, but I’m sure now, with your help, it is underway.
Let’s hope for a really good turnout.

We have asked for help for Lieutenant Behenna and you have responded.
We are back again asking for more help. If you can at all make it, please do. Do not let the PC Jag officers crucify one of our heroes. Through our strength in numbers, the Pendelton 8 have been exonerated.

toward the last 20 posts, you’ll see some folks who will do their best to be there.
Why was Mr. Behenna being prosecuted? I’m kinda new to this one.
For killing a known terrorist, before he was killed by him.
Remember they have a new law in the Military don’t shoot back if you are fired upon, and they put their weapon down .

ok .. so a little clarification, please. I marked my calendar for the hearing at Army Ct of Appeals, 450 E. Street N.W. This thread says it’s in Arlington. Is this one accurate? Assuming I can get the time off, I don’t want to show up at the wrong court house. Thanks.
I would have shot the terrorist if he were out picking opium poppies for his girlfriend/goatfriend.
Was the terrorist trying/pretending to surrender at the time?
