But in our household we have a different tradition. For us it is Advent (a semi-penitential season, a mini-Lent, beginning the new church year with a time for reflection) until Christmas Eve when the tree and decorations go up -- THEN the celebrations begin and we enter into the traditional 12 Days of Christmas!

But that's us.

We are running much colder than normal for this time of year.

We tend not to get hard freezes till January..

Funny story I heard tonight....someone came into a friends place of business & said “I see the Dollar Store next door but do you know whre the 99 cent store is”?

I haven't heard from Tennessee or Michigan lately, so I figured they're hunkering down indoors, out Christmas shopping or out chopping firewood.

Guess I'll have to delay my trip to the mainland once again until the climate changes.
