There are plenty of good stories about them, but of course the only ones that get publicity are the ones that are either misidentifying the dogs attacking as pits or confuse a resident pet with a family one - and, of course, retractions make the back pages....
Ah, yes... and those who scream for BSL legislation will doubtless get their way...

Yes, indeed. Last night was very crowded with my wife and I and our two Labs on our Queen sized bed. Especially since our female Lab is a bed hog - LOL.
The idiot watched too many movies where people jump through windows without getting a scratch on them. This just doesn’t happen. When you jump through a window, depending on the type of glass, you might just wind up with a cut throat or some other major body part sliced open.
I have a great pit story. When I was 18 had the friendliest pit you could ever meet. Never heard her bark, not once.
My cousin and I lived together in a small 2 bedroom house. One night cuz was gone and about 10:00 Krishna and I headed off to bed and turned the tv on. No lights on cept the tv. About half an hr later heard someone trying all the windows, dog just looked at me as I called the police.
While on the phone with the dispatcher I heard a window break but couldn’t tell which one since the bedroom door was closed. Dispatcher said...let the dog out so I did. Soon heard someone screaming bloody murder and then the dispatcher said the officers are out front. They rang my doorbell and when I went to open the door and turn on the lights they said WOW! There was blood everywhere. The guy had broke the window out by the front door to try and reach in to the door to unlock it. Without making a sound the dog had locked her jaws on his arm and he had to rip it out of her mouth to get away lol

68 lbs? my coonhound is 90lbs, tall, lean and healthy, my black lab is 91 lbs, tall lean and healthy. Vet says whatever I’m doing don’t change it hehe.
in BC, Canada, it’s building code to have to use safety glass on all ground floor windows... heck we can’t have people hurting themselves like this poor fellow /s

My guess is he went THROUGH the glass in the window. He probably sliced himself to ribbons.
