I started my 2nd Army enlistment with the 6/10th FA in Bamberg, W.Germany in '76 with 175mm SP, converted them to 8" SP in '78, lotsa fun on the tank trails and the hardstands!
BTW, haven't seem many artillery/mortar pings lately..:=)

I was B/Btry 1/156 FA light towed 105mm using the M119A1 howitzer.
National Guard out of Newburgh NY.
We did our AT at Drum.
Also where I got yelled at for using a Tuna MRE as a simulated satchel charge.

An almost perfectly sunny day today and I doubt Punxatawny Phil would turn down an airline ticket to Hawaii this year. Then there's the little item that he would see his shadow over here and we'd all be stuck with 6 more weeks of winter.
I'll stick with Lonesome Plover for my weather predictions.
