Jim went to the VA hospital this afternoon for his scheduled checkup.

They admitted him. His remaining leg is not looking good. Three surgeons will confer tomorrow morning
on whether and when his right leg will be amputated.

When I talked to him this afternoon, he consented to me asking for prayers regarding this latest health issue.

Yes, I will pray for Laura and the whole fam. Very cool about the stranger encouraging her, angels unawares and all that:

She got a call which she took outside, and then as she came back in, a man near the entrance, a total stranger, spoke a word of encouragement to her that was totally unexpected, almost like he had somehow read exactly what she had just written in her journal. Both she and I concluded it had to have been an angel sent by the Lord to strengthen her. So even though we’ve had a few “downs” on the roller coaster this last few days, the Lord is helping us keep our eyes above, because that’s where our help comes from (Psalm 121:1-2).

Prayers up, Jim. I had no idea you were having health issues while you helped me get my little problem straightened out, or I wouldn't have bugged you so much. LOL You're like a Timex - you take a licking and keep on ticking. Give it hell!
