Michelle Obama's Style Dream Team
Yahoo ^ | March 10, 2011 | Piper Weiss

Over the past few years, Michelle Obama has generated about $2.7 billion for the fashion industry, just by getting dressed. One appearance in a $34 H&M dress, which she wore this month on the Today Show, can make a stock skyrocket, turn an unknown talent into a star, and send millions of shoppers to the mall, even in a sluggish economy. It's the Mrs. O effect, but it's not all the work of one woman. By the time her husband hit the campaign trail, 'Mobama' was already assembling her star team of fashion and beauty experts. But these are not your average red carpet stylists. All have roots in Chicago, and all work together to facilitate the first lady's unique brand of elegant do-it-yourself looks. "She’s the most casual first lady we’ve ever had," says Kate Betts, author of Everyday Icon: Michelle Obama and the Power of Style. "That hasn't changed since she's been in the White House. She's still wearing high-low fashion, floral dresses, and belts like she did on the campaign trial." But after two years on the job, her influence on the fashion industry has solidified and so has her dream team.

Personally, I believe that bag would look better with the bag ...... covering her head with it.

Now that you mention it her wrists seem too skinny for her arms. Horrors! Did I just say that something on the linebacker is skinny?

I don’t know about you, but I always pair my teal Reed Krakoff bag with peacock blue pumps.

She knows how to clash colors better than any woman I know.

I’m not even going to get into her clothing style...lol

$1,000 for that? Another example of her poor taste.

Only big wookie would pay $1000.00 for THAT bag. It’s hideous. It’s aqua, shoes electric blue, I’ve never seen someone dress as crappy as she does. I think she does it on purpose for attention. Any kind of attention is good for an attention wh*re, good or bad, as long as they get it. If that’s not the case, then she simply has no taste or sense of style.

That’s because most women who are not pregnant prefer to avoid the pregnant look.

Part of the issue appears to be that no one has taught her how to stand properly. She’s a tall woman, and lots of times as tall girls are growing, they slump to make themselves closer to their not-yet-grown peers’ height.

If she’d stand with her shoulders back and her feet closer together, it’d make a world of difference in her look. That white dress in your post, for instance ... the weird thing the bodice is doing would be mostly negated if she stood up straight.

YESSSSSSSSSSS! I’ve said many times that she is deformed. Her upper arms look like a man,s her lower arms and wrists look like she had polio. I think she is a hermaphrodite.

When there’s a MO fashion thread, many of us go postal.

Some of us are so indiginant that we double post. ;o)

BTW...I don’t think she has a clothing style, but rather a clothing disability. I’m sure there’s a charity...and legislation...to benefit that by now. lol

Her arms are just weird. They don't match the rest of her body.
