Palin: The GOP's Pelosi?
WaPost ^ | 3/11/11 | Chris Cilliza

Sarah Palin's unfavorable rating has spiked to a new high, adding further fuel to the argument that her presidential campaign may be doomed before it begins.

A new Bloomberg poll shows the former Alaska governor is now viewed unfavorably by 60 percent of American adults. That's higher than any other poll has shown, but it's not even the entire picture.

Of that 60 percent, nearly two-thirds - 38 percent of all adults - say they view the former GOP vice presidential nominee "very unfavorably." No other politicians tested even comes close, including President Obama (22 percent). What's more, Palin's unfavorable rating is more than twice as high as her favorable rating, which rests at just 28 percent. Another 12 percent aren't sure how they feel about her.

Palin is more like a Rush/Hannity figure craving and drawing media attention.

You think Palin/Rush/Hannity crave media attention? You don't understand them very well then.

I just took a look at the details of the poll, and there’s definitely something wrong with this poll. There’s way too much support for Obama’s economic policies and way too high of an approval rating for Obama. Those numbers are much higher than numbers I’ve seen in many other polls such as Rasmussen’s polls. Those numbers are also way out of step with the crushing GOP victory in congressional elections last November. They probably polled too many democrats to manufacture those results. In my view, this poll is completely useless and doesn’t mean anything.

Are you kidding me? You seriously think that 44 percent indepedent is representative of the electorate? And that a sample of adults, as opposed to likely or registered voters, is of any real use in a political poll?

Odd. The title is asking if Palin is the GOP’s Pelosi. I utterly disagree with that.

Yes I do. It's good for their businesses. It is their businesses.

Do you care when the MSM slams Romney (which lately they have been) or Huck or Newt? I sure don’t.

I don't pimp the bashing when it is done by liberals for the wrong reasons, pissy. For example, some left-wing group who wants single-payer was bashing Romneycare the other day, and I said on the thread that we shouldn't parrot such nonsense.

Not everyone on FR is an unprincipled weasel like you, pissy. In fact, most aren't - including those I disagree with. Only the shameless ones post MSM attacks to try and make their point, instead of posting such as target practice.

I found a Huffpost poll from June 2009 (not posting the link because that is frowned upon). So even a lib site like Huffpost had this as the voter breakout BEFORE Obamacare: Dem 36.4, GOP 32.6, Ind 29.7 - so using even those old numbers, Independents were oversampled by 14 points, and the GOP was undersampled by over 10 points.

So do you still think this was an outlier? Or outhouse material?

Why not just post an op-ed directly from the DNC and save yourself the time?

They exhalt the Affirmative Action admission to Ivy League schools by Obama, with no question of his grades or achievements (his much-praised Harvard Law Review position was not academically based, it was from a vote of his peers).

He has made $4.00 gas, let the debt pile up and given us 10% (official) umemployment and the Media/WaPo cannot stop praising him.

The belittle Palin with no reason as she would tear the Kenyan a new arse in a debate.

Simple question for everyone: If they were the choices, would you vote for Obama in 2012 or Palin. You can’t answer “stay at home” because anything OTHER THAN a vote for Palin is a vote for Obama, and how well you know it.

Gov. Palin is the most vetted candidate in the history of the Country.

I like Rep. Bachmann. But, I'm not certain she could stand the same type of type of Media treatment at this point that Palin has already endured.

That's what P. Ant and others don't get. Whomever is the nominee this time around is going to be Quayled. Frankly, the only one I see who can be victorious against these tactics is Gov. Palin, which is all the more reason she should be the nominee.

Michele Bachmann is still unproven on the National stage. She too had her painful to watch interviews a few years ago. But, one certainty that remains, she is a member of the House of Representatives, and no true actively serving member of the House has ever been elected President in our nations history.

To the delusional belief that Gov. Palin is a Liberal, well, I guess there are those who also still believe 9/11 was an inside job.

Missing something here:

Since when is Pelosi toxic to the libs? Isn’t that the real news item here?

When has the comPost or any other mainstream outlet done a stand alone story on Pelosi's negatives?

All's this story tells to those who arent paying attention is that Pelosi has high negatives. And for those who are paying attention - know that the comPost and their polls are an America hating outlet.
