Herman Cain Could Transform Lifetime of Effort into Political Capital

By the end of the first GOP presidential debate in South Carolina, only one name emerged with solid promise: Herman Cain.

In 1988, Cain purchased Godfather's Pizza. By 1995, under his skillful guidance, Godfather's went from the verge of utter failure to become the fifth-largest pizza chain in America. Still, even as his managerial office skills helped him climb the success ladder, he never considered himself above the equally necessary task of cleaning bathroom toilets.

In the days since Cain's return to the political stage, the excitement he stirred is growing. There are three reasons why his challengers should be afraid.

First, Cain's positions regarding the highly unpopular policies of the current administration have grabbed the attention of weary Americans. Those who long to hear their voice reflected, not ignored, by Washington's efforts are encouraged by his determination to repeal Obamacare and his opposition to amnesty for illegal immigrants.

Second, regarding the economic chaos that our current leaders cannot seem to solve, Cain is a savvy businessman who turned a financial failure into a success. His plans to implement a Fair Tax system to jump-start business and reverse staggering unemployment numbers is being met with enthusiastic support. As rising gas prices are adding additional stress to an already struggling American populace, his plans to achieve true energy independence by drilling our own resources has inspired much-needed optimism about powering our own future.

The greatest advantage held by Cain is what the political elite see as his downfall. In this era of America's disdain for pompous, ineffective career politicians, they may want to re-evaluate such seriously misguided confidence. Right now, a "political outsider" who will clean a toilet himself rather than passing the buck is precisely what makes him so refreshing.

That’s a good idea for a tagline. Thanks.

I have read about Herman; but have not yet seen/heard him speak. Thanks for the links. Sounds like Herman is (so far) the only Republican who is not squishy.

Thanks for the links. I’ll check them out a few at a time over the next couple of days.

The good thing is that I haven’t heard much negative about Herman Cain, so he can hopefully define himself before the lefties and SNL clowns try to falsely portray him as something bad or stupid or both.

Herman being on the Kansas City FED board is enough to keep me from voting for him.

Wake up freepers. Cain is a big money elitist with ties to the FED. The FED is destroying the currency and stealing the nation blind. AND HE SUPPORTS IT! Just say no Cain, no McCain.

Or, perhaps he knows more about banking than you do. No, that couldn’t be it.

Not the point, I guarantee I know a lot more about it than you do. Since 1913, the FED has stolen 95% of the value of the currency. How must do you suggest they take?

One ounce of silver should be a buck (silver dollar). Now it’s $50. What do you suggest?

A gallon of gas us to be 20 cents. Now it’s $5. That’s 1/10 ounce silver (a dime). How high do you want gas to go?

Wake up, Genius.

I liked Cain in the South Carolina debate last week and I still think he'll be a strong contender for the nomination.

Let's face it... he's a GIANT in many respects compared to the Obozo circus now playing the stage.

For MOST conservatives he could be considered REAL HOPE & CHANGE compared to the Obumbler.

I’ve reviewed your posts - since you have never met a conspiracy theory you didn’t like, I won’t even try to argue with you.

By the way, Cain has expressed support for the gold standard (which I don’t support).

Just sayin’.

Lefty? Not smart enough?

You OBVIOUSLY don’t have the first clue who I am, what I believe, or what I do for a living.

None whatsoever.

Like the insane birthers who STILL refuse to believe that Obama was born in Hawaii (I will concede that he’s likely hiding something about his college years, however), there’s no point in me even attempting to rebut you.

I think you're "just sayin" wrong on this one. I heard a lot of Herman Cain on the radio over the years, and I've never even heard him hint about needing to go back to the gold standard.

Link please.

you must have trained at the Bill Clinton school of politics of personal destruction as well. Ignore the message, yet engage in childish personal attacks. Grow up. My facts were either right or wrong. The opinion is my own. How about making a fact based intelligent comment? Servant of the Cross? Seems unlikely.

I said, “Cain is a big money elitist with ties to the FED. The FED is destroying the currency and stealing the nation blind. AND HE SUPPORTS IT!”

Where was I wrong?
