The story they are telling is he just told her about it, after 10 years. But if she did know about it, I’d still take him to the cleaners anyway for what he did, regardless of when she found out about it. If that was the case, that she knew about it, she did him a favor by staying by his side for the sake of his political career.
Ablow should go blow. Maria was a woman in love, not a psychologist when she married Arnie. Where is Arnie's responsibility in all this?
They, in fact, have 4 children ages 21 to 14. The youngest is 5 days different in age from his “love child”.

I have always wondered when some corageous political wife is going to step forward and say, “I can accept that my very popular husband may fall into temptation sometimes. But, so long as he comes home regularly, pays the bills, is good to me and the children, PRACTICES SAFE SEX, and makes love to me when I need it, I really don’t care, and neither should you.”

Perhaps no complete shock, and of course no one has to do anything about anything if they don’t want to. It just depends on the level of misery one is willing to live through and what kind of example they want to provide for their kids. I say life is too short to spend it with a skirt-chaser, drunk, and/or abuser while the kids watch it being put up with. Good for her to get away from someone who obviously doesn’t respect her and couldn’t possibly bring about the kind of happiness everyone deserves.
They have four children.
For all practical purposes, Maria is married to The Swimmer.
