When will the Navy dump that GD “Dixie Cup”?
Spent 8 weeks in the Brooklyn Ship Yards in the winter if ‘58-’59. Had to wear the old flathat ( Donald Duck hat). Everybody pissed and moaned trying to find theirs at the bottom of their seabags. But at the end of the 8 weeks when we went back to NORVA, nobody wanted to go back the the friggin’ beanie (dixie cup),

Yeah, but you gotta have the Dixie cup with the blue band to let the ladies on the beach know about the middies’, ahem, cough, cough, cough....physical hygiene problems...
